Fantastic mate, really great.

When I was young I would always have at least 5 or 6 Weet-Bix for breakfast and then the same as soon as I arrived home from school.

Now I will often have the smae for breakfast and still at times will have some of a night time.
Thats a lot of weetbix! You must/did lots of exercise to warrent such a meal!

Their sugar content is very low compared to most breakfast foods.
Thats whats so sad. So-good has a horrible amount of sugar in it compared to other soymilks. Its such a shame. Its also sad to see sanatarium cash in on sugary cerials. So what if coated rices has "less sugar than other cerials"? Its still packed with sugar and hardly nutritious. Honey puffs is also in the same boat.

But, they're a business. What can you expect, I suppose, making money from others [health] misery.

So-Good is also made by SHF in Canada and very soon will be down into USA. So if you see it then try it.
Try it, don't keep using it. Other soymilks have less suagr- taste just as nice- just as nutritious. My one I drink is enriched with more calcium than so-goods is!

There is nothing horrible about Marmite. Spread it lightly on toast and it is very tasty.
Nah mate, get a spoon, dig some out and suck it/lick it! :p Don't spread it lightly, spread it thick!

I know people (and I've had this done before) who, when they have an upset stomach, mix marmite, boiling water, some chilli stuff and maybe charcole together in a drink. And you drink it. It worked reasonably well, but obviously was horrible to drink!

I went to a Sanitarium talk at big camp.........and almost fell asleep  :p

I've heard that nutmeat is no good too, as are some of their other products? I think the only thing left that might be ok (in moderation) is weetbix? lol

You will find that most canned or processed foods are not that good for you even if those same foods were consumed fresh.

Much of the goodness is destroyed when that happens.

But I still like my Nutmeat. Now it is in moderation and not eaten by the can.

Marmite on Weet-Bix is not so bad, there are worse things around.

No doubt I would have heard the same report at our Camp.

There is a difference between what BonnieBee heard and what I heard.

I grew up and went to school and ofgten would be able to smell the flavour of Weet-Bix as they were cooked just down the road.

Then I worked there for over 13 years and left on good terms.

So for me anything SHF is of real interest to me.

To many others it is just plain boring and I understand that.

Today I do my best to buy and support SHF products as any profits help further the spread of the gospel.

Yes, I agree, all canned foods are really not that healthy.

Yeah, I still like Nutmeat too :p ^_^

Sorry, I didn't mean it was 'boring', but I don't like it when food companies try to say their food is healthy, but they still put unhealthy ingredients in their products......

We have a soy-milk maker; you can make it without one, but it's much more work. Ours is a SoyaJoy, which has been well worth the money, considering how much we used to spend on soy milk. I buy organic, non-GMO soybeans--50 pounds at a time, which lasts a long time--and store them in the freezer. Then I soak the amount of soybeans that I am going to need overnight and make the soy milk in the morning. I usually make four batches at a time, which lasts about a week for our family. The machine makes 50 ounces in one batch (about 1.5 L, for those of you who use metric measurements), and it takes only 15 minues.

Homemade soy milk doesn't taste as good as store-bought, though. I had to do a lot of research to find out how to minimize the beany taste. Plain soy milk is really good for cooking, so I usually leave a couple of batches plain and then flavor the rest with vanilla and sweetener (I use stevia) and a little bit of salt for using on cereal or whatever. It's still not quite as tasty if you just drink it, but the kids like it. It also doesn't have the added nutrients that milk does, so it's a good idea to take vitamin and mineral supplements, especially for anyone who doesn't eat any animal products.
I'll have to check that out... and not having the added "nutrients" in most cases is desirable.

maybe I can find one on ebay.
