Any ideas on where we can get good website promotion?

We are NOT selling anything. Just sharing the Gospel in a very non-threatening way. We want to reach out to those who are looking for Christ but don't want the confrontation right now that comes with it.

You can also submit your site to a Christian Search Engine, Praize.com.

dmoz is good.

I also suggest submitting to altavista.com and a few others directly.

The altavista.com database is used by most other search engines.

Would give more suggestions, but search engine optimization is one of my strengths as a webmaster, in my profession, and I cannot give everything away

I've done the top sites list thing. Some of the ones I've submitted to actually do work. A lot do not work for most people because they either don't have anyone to see the top sites list, therefore they don't get to your site through it, or too many people go to it and therefore there are a lot of sites on the top sites list and your site will be at the bottom unless you already have a lot of people visiting your site. It's kind of one of those things where the rich get richer. I found two that work for me, but they are secular sites and have a lot sites with filth on there also.

I have also tried offering people to swap banners with me. I put a link on my site no one has taken the offer yet. I would be happy to swap with you, if you want. My site is BecauseofChrist.com
