• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We give thanks

In the past six months I have paid off one credit card and paid off my balance by half on another and I should be "independent" of the second card's debt by July 4. It was difficult and a fair chunk of money. I just got fed up with throwing away x dollars in interest every month so I decided to get more agressive about paying things off. It is worth it to skip a vacation or not buy some toy I want but don't need.

yay for you! I too, made a small dent in my debt, but even though it was smaill compared to what I owe, it's still encouraging that I maybe can do it.

Keep chipping away at the debt without adding new debt and you will find that you can pay more and more each month. Eventually you will be able to make pretty big payments.

Yep, I'm still barely making ends meet, but by the grace of God I got extra refunds this year due to my blunders in previous years so I am hoping to take the money that I used to use to pay the bills I paid off and add that amount to the next bill I am tackling and so on and so forth.
