No, I think they like to believe that any day now the Lord could Rapture them and take them out of this growing catastrophe.I think most people want to believe they are in the last days because it would require them to be obedient in making disciples of all nations.
How is it written for Timothy when it prophesies times in the last days? It is clearly talking about future times, no?Whether or not it happens today is irrelevant. It was written for Timothy in his time. So it’s no more a sign of the coming of Christ now as it was in then.
Nothing to do with this thread. What does ' Getting Whiter' mean exactly?
Right. They don’t want to be obedient to Christ’s command. No, I think they like to believe that any day now the Lord could Rapture them and take them out of this growing catastrophe.
Well, Timothy was in the last days. You have to understand that Paul was writing a letter, his last letter, to Timothy, his son. He wasn’t writing him a letter about what might happen two thousand years from then. It was for what Timothy would face. How is it written for Timothy when it prophesies times in the last days? It is clearly talking about future times, no?
Things get eventually better before He returns. In fact, most everyone will be saved.

Hi Camper. Thanks for the interesting reply! Great user name BTW. God Bless You
That’s what Jesus said to the Jews at the sermon on the mount. This is what the bible says in response to your statement
Matthew 7:13-14 [Full Chapter]
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
I always go back to this when someone claims to know:
Mark 13:32 (CSB): “Now concerning that day or hour no one knows—neither the angels in heaven nor the Son—but only the Father.
Personally, I don’t believe we’re living in the end times because the things that are happening around the world today are no worse than they’ve ever been in the past. Instead, they’re just more televised and advertised than ever before. But that’s just my opinion.
We are FAR from being like the Israelites and they did not have Jesus to tell us when these things would happen. They also did not have the Book of Revelation to align with their world to know where about they were in things, NOR did they have the Holy Spirit to guide their hearts and speak to their soul when something big was about to happen.JUST like he did for the Israelite in Egypt, he did not require them to go through the plagues (sarcasm)
NO he protected them through the plagues.
Learn the truth and it will set you free from satans deceptions.
Probably not demonic deception, but more like poor hermeneutics. We are FAR from being like the Israelites and they did not have Jesus to tell us when these things would happen. Everyone seems to forget that part! Christians have something the Jews do not have. The Holy Spirit. Jesus sent Him to us as the Great Comforter, to teach us, guide us, warn us and when the time comes, speak through us. Many of us feel it heavy on our spirit. A restlessness, and quickening of time. We are looking to the skies more because we feel something stirring in the world. It is exciting, and unsettling at the same time. It has us on fire for the Lord, as He is drawing us in like never before. It has always been there but now is different. I cannot explain it but I know I am not alone in feeling this. And trust me, it is NOT demonic deception friend but thank you for your concern.
Maybe, but I have not been studying and reading the Bible for very long. I have always gone off of my feelings for Jesus and the Lord, and I guess I have valued loving the Lord God with all my heart, body, soul, spirit and mind and developing my own personal relationship with Him so that He knows me and how I feel and that I know when the intuition I receive is coming from Him rather than needing to know the difference between the Mennonites, and the Canaanites, and the Levites, and the Kohathites and the Uzzielites and the Hebronites and the Amramites and the Izharites and the Mushites. None of those tribes and clan have any real relevance to this day and age and I cannot keep track of them anyways. Does it make me less of a Christian because my interpretation of the Bible is not always comprehensively correct? Of course not. Do I believe in false doctrine? No I do not think so. I may have at one time but where the Bible has said differently, I am quick to change my views and outlook. Can anyone truly be an expert on the Word of God and know exactly what He means with every scripture in the Bible? I would say no, not if that person is a human .Probably not demonic deception, but more like poor hermeneutics.

God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent. Hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?Numbers 23:19
People will always interpret things there own way. The statement. " And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
This means different things to different people. To me it means that the church will be in the world which has the Holy Spirit which is preventing the Antichrist from coming to power. At the time of the rapture, Christ will remove the church from the land and the Antichrist will immediately come to power and not a minute before. The Antichrist will establish a new religion for all the world but he cannot do this while the Holy Spirit is still here. That may be poor hermeneutics, but that is my interpretation.
We are definitely in the last days. Their are some who have claimed to be Jesus. And all the things that are happening now. Nations rising against nations. The coronaviris. The electricity problems that happened. All the people who have died. This is a time of death. The rider is on the pale horse in the book of revelations named death now. God is trying to give us a chance to repent and get serious and stop playing church. These are the last days.Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a good day so far!
In Matthew, Jesus states that there will be many coming and saying they are Jesus in the last days.
Then, as he talks about the last days, he seems to tell them what's going to happen in the order its going to happen.
If we look and see there's not a lot of people saying they are Jesus and the fact that Jesus tells us the order all these things will happen, that should let you know that we are NOT in the last days yet.
While it’s true that I think God is calling folks to repentance, those signs were for the first century believers. We are definitely in the last days. Their are some who have claimed to be Jesus. Well this pandemic put a holt to everything. God is trying to get our attention, but most are ignoring it and just wanting to get back to the way it was before. Something else will come. Because we are in the middle of the birth pains. While it’s true that I think God is calling folks to repentance, those signs were for the first century believers.
