It's pretty obvious that we are in a time of oppression of the poor. You can do a Bible study on this topic. It's overwhelming the amount of verses you will find if you do a google search on it. What is the Christian response to this? Are we so fallen that we are so full of fear of the oppressors that we cannot raise of prayers against them? Or, are we too insane with conspiracy theory that we do not have a valid economic plan to work our way into national prosperity again?

God specifically called Christians (and everyone) to help the poor and those that couldn't survive due to cold hearts of other people. However, the situation will not get significantly better without people entrusting themselves to God, because the problem is not money, the problem is people's hearts.

Anytime in the history, who were NOT in that kind of time? Should we be special?

Injustice has always been a feature of the world: for the poor, for the hungry, for various "out groups".

The correct Christian response to today's injustice is the same as it has always been, to seek justice, to promote peace, to love our neighbor, to feed the hungry, to give and take care of the needy, etc.

The poor are the best off out of any time in history. Education, healthcare, life expectancy, GDP, are up; and crime is down.

Things could be better, and there are countries which have done better.
