CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yep and how many other sects of christianity use this quote to say they are right too? How do you know your right in your beliefs when God is talking to those people who say there is no hell or those who say its all fated and there is no freewill so your basicly out of luck. Now onto the truth, there can be two people who do the exact same thing and are opposite religions (think devout pentecost and atheist) and yet I have the feeling people with the mindset of the OP would say the atheist is better. In reality, they are both good in their own way, despite whatever disimilarities they have.
What kind of an egotistical mindset causes the view that Christians are lesser than anyone else? Or better than anyone else for that matter. Religion is irrelevant to how 'good' you are.

I wanted to respond to the original quote and the reply as to I like and identify with the question Nightson asked - its what I been asking for a long time and every church gives me a different answer. I am getting more and more convinced there really isnt any one answer like Eph 4:4 said. This is why I come here and observe.

I certainly wouldn't be good just so I could get into heaven. I would have to be convinced that living a good life is better than the alternative, which I am. Nothing to do with God, I think it makes being alive more meaningful.
