  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay so I'm embarrassed but I have a question  It seems like you can't do anything fun when you are pregnant, and tomorrow we're going to a water park. All the slides of course have signs saying no pregnant people should ride. Why is that? Because water might go up you know where? Its not like a roller coaster with lots of bumping around, its just a water slide and slow. Tell me whyyyyyy because I am so sad I have to watch others have fun (I should mention I am not showing yet)

I *know* pregnant people go in the lazy river though  I thought at least I could do THAT... they should let me in for free at this rate. :p

Really though, I have a slight rise between my hip bones where there is usually a recession, but since most people have a rise to begin with, I do not look pregnant just like I've eaten 1 or 2 extra cheeseburgers. I plan to wear a bikini.

I want to be safe and protect the baby (and me) but its not like they would know, so I want to know for my own sake, really.

My mom and my sister are going, and so yeah I'll get a break because D loves to play with grandma. ;)

I mean if you go to a theme park, they have those pregnant signs next to the merry go round...honestly doesn't a car go faster?

We were going to go to Six Flags back in June but it was too hot, my OB gave me the go ahead to go on the lazy river and the slow rides. No fast slides, wave pools, drop slides... In june I was 5 months pregnant.

I don't have any books to back up his opinon but he said none of his patients have ever been harmed by the slower water slides or the lazy river.

Although he did say that I should be drinking 8 oz of water for every 20 minutes I'm in the direct sunlight.

I actually got dressed so I could take this picture and show you all my little belly, geez where did that come from? That's cool. ;) I know I am not smiling but what can I say, I took this picture myself just now

(edit to say, my hair is scary too since I didn't do anything with it  )

Honestly, I wouldn't. Just because I know that my balance is slightly off, my muscles aren't as effective as usual (and more likely to be strained), and because there's a chance of giving my belly a good knock because of those two things. Not to mention I'd feel like a complete idiot if an accident I could've avoided caused a major complication. I'd even be wary of a merry-go-round, because of the balance thing, and the possibility of falling off :D

I don't intend to spend the next few years pregnant - so I figure there'll be plenty of opportunity to play on water slides :)

To a water park?

Make sure you double knot your strings, wouldn't want it falling off on the slides ;)

I didn't go on anything that rough! It would have to be pretty wild to take off my bikini! I was with David the whole time, we had a lot of fun, and can you believe he went on a waterslide where you ride in tubes...... like 8 times. I was holding him, and he LOVED it. He squeals in delight the whole way down, and HATED the lazy river because it was boring. He's not even two, and he has no fear. He loved the rest of the park too, with little kiddie slides and stuff. It was fun, we want to go back again.
