And have you ever noticed, on a certain range of topics, that you can predict with 90%+ accuracy what stance a person with "non-denominational" icon showing is going to take, and what arguments he's going to use in support of his position?

And I wonder among those who call themselves "non-denominational" who it is that has the authority to say what set of beliefs one must have to be "non-denominational".

That's because non-denominationalism is itself a denomination, if denomination is to be defined by doctrinal grouping rather than ecclesial/political grouping. Many (but not all!) non-denominational churches are of some Reformed variety or another.

I understand, that's sort-of what turns me off one of the Major Catholic forums.
There is a small, albeit very vocal group of Catholics who think the "Novus Ordo" catholics are False Protestants, and the Old Catholics, Utrecht catholics and such are schismatic Heretics.

Really, you can't worry about what those folks say. Just be ready to embrace the people within their fold who are so hurt and offended by various things that they leave and come to anglicanism as a church home.
