Great! Here is an important announcement!
TAS has WON in a contest of one!!!!!
Congrats Tas...keep straining at the gnats and ignoring all the other insects...I'll bet that camel is yummy...
Nice deflection - but you could do yourself a favor and stop trying to revise your history to save face, it just ends up biting you.
I mean, I have yet to rely on plagiarism, doctored quotes, diversionary tactics. I have yet to try to puff up my 'authority' (only clarifications when insulted). I have yet to link to papers on topic Y claiming that they really support my claim on topic X. I have yet to rely on appeals to authority, etc.
It is pretty clear that you were trying to gloss over the events to save face - I mean, it is pretty clear what you did:
pshun:
"Here's an article that suggest the cell's role in determining which ones [mutations] stay and which ones go...""
me:
"You must have read a different article than the one you linked to. That article outlines a 'natural' problem (G quadruplexes) that interfere with DNA replication, and that there is an enzyme that clears these quadruplexes (usually) and that mutations in the gene that encodes one of these enzymes is associated with certain kinds of cancer.
I did not see anything about cells determining which mutations stay or go."
pshun:
"No that unrelated paper demonstrates how an enzyme is involved in that process, and that thread was a query not an assertion about whether or not there were enzymes or other processes involved, and IF SO what they were (as opposed to the simplified natural selection explanation) but not strange that you went so far off topic....I guess you figure if you can just discredit me you win (but there is no contest here)"
Doesn't get much clearer than that - historical revisionism to save face.
So yes, thanks for the admission - debating you IS like a contest of one.
