Adam was not created...Adam was formed and that was long after the various races, mankind, were created. He was not the first human...he was the first man IN THE LINE to Christ. That is all that verse means.

With Cain and Abel there are spiritual principles put in play, just as there are with Adam and Eve.

The Cain and Abel sequence is taught throughout the text, and is noted by Paul in 1 Cor. 15 as 'first the natural, then the spiritual.'

There are many EXTERNAL SHOWINGS of this exact lesson in the Old Testament, Cain and Abel being one of the first ones.

The natural lineage of Cain was not the lineage of the second man, so in this sight YeShallTread is at least partially correct. But to base that notation on a strictly genetic sight will not compute.

We are all born as 'natural' people. We are all also born BLINDED by the god of this world who blinds our mind to the Gospel. That is the 'first natural man' and in this way none of us are any different than CAIN or CEPHAS or SAUL or any number of other showings of this matter.

Cain was in effect no different than Adam or any of the balance of us who are captured and blinded by SIN which same is of the DEVIL.

I would also venture that Abel was not sinless either. He also was born as a natural man in a natural body just like EVERYONE else.

There is the symbiotic relationship of HUMAN and HOST and it is a SPIRITUAL relationship that we all have with the spiritual blinding that comes with our natural birth. That blinding is from SATAN. In the spiritual sense the anti-Christ spirit is a spirit, but on the opposing side of the ledgers.

The veil is removed in Christ.

When any of us believe, we are in effect and purpose TURNED from the power of Satan unto God.

It has zero to do with 'genetics.'

If Cain doesn't do well, and he didn't, then he would be led by his daddy. What is "thou shalt rule over him" mean...who is the "him" that Cain "shalt rule over?"

Everything He had created and made was FINISHED....everything! The seventh day...He rested. After that....

But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

This particular man, eth ha adam...the man Adam, was formed for a purpose. And, unlike the others...he wasn't "created male and female" for he was alone.

2:18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

The second chapter is not a repeat of the first. The first deals with the world...the second deals with the family of Jesus Christ and it continues throughout the Bible. It is His-story.

I've also been browsing through the most recent New World Translation - a new edition was released on 5th October 2013 - and noticed that the cross reference in the NWT for Ephesians 4:8 is to Psalm 68:18 and that got me wondering if one of Jehovah's witnesses would notice that Psalm 68:18 is about Jehovah while Ephesians 4:8 is about Jesus Christ. But I imagine that even if they did notice there would very likely be some explanation to avoid equating Jesus with Jehovah in all but a subservient role as Jehovah's messenger.

I may ask the next time I encounter one of Jehovah's witnesses.

This chapter gives the generations of Adam, the man Adam. Also notice that Adam (without the article) is not eth ha adam or the man Adam. Rather, it refers to mankind that was created male and female. God mentions them and then....God speaks of the particular man Adam and his lineage....

5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:

Please notice....CAIN IS NOT LISTED!!! The line of Cain, the tares, is given in his very own genealogy. Do you wonder why?

Just as I said, here is what one gets when one provides Scripture to back up their challenges of YeShallTread. She automatically asserts that they do not know what the verse means, and thus have misinterpreted it. Yet still, she engages in no interpretation herself. A lot of good that did.

I know nothing of the Jehovah's witness. Do they deny that Father and Son are One?

So what? Neither is Abel.

Nobody is disputing that Seth is the lineage in play. Still doesn't mean Adam did not have TWO SONS, Cain and Abel.

and Cain, the tare? Again, who are you kidding? A lot of the inhabitants didn't make it past the flood and had their lineage presented.

All have sin. All have sinned. No one is righteous, no not one.

It wasn't a challenge to anything I have said...nothing at all.

It doesn't deal with the first earth age, the seed of the serpent, or anything being discussed. The poster improperly applies that verse.
