Did Eve give birth to you or me? Are you living?
She is the mother of all that are spiritually alive for she began the line leading to Jesus Christ. That is all that verse means.
Adam was not created...Adam was formed and that was long after the various races, mankind, were created. He was not the first human...he was the first man IN THE LINE to Christ. That is all that verse means.
Satan was his spiritual father, not natural. When he didn't listen to God and started to obey satan, satan became his spiritual father.
1 John 3
In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brothers righteous.

And on the sixth day God formed?I sense a Gravette error being repeated.
Genesis5No. On the sixth day God created man. After the seventh day of rest He formed Adam. The sixth day creation is not Adam.

Well, I have to look at it a third time because I've been convinced both ways now, but what seems counter-intuitive about Cain's seed being unredeemable is:
What bible are you reading YST?
YeShallTread said:Deal with Scripture. If it is improperly taught then show the proper use.
The Holy Bible...the KJV
...
Genesis5
This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.
No scripture shall be interpreted based on genetics:
2 Corinthians 5:16
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
If that is done, what will you do in return?
And still...no clue as to the meaning of that verse.
I've been reading the KJV recently, I bought a nice printed copy. I've also been browsing through the most recent New World Translation - a new edition was released on 5th October 2013 - and noticed that the cross reference in the NWT for Ephesians 4:8 is to Psalm 68:18 and that got me wondering if one of Jehovah's witnesses would notice that Psalm 68:18 is about Jehovah while Ephesians 4:8 is about Jesus Christ. But I imagine that even if they did notice there would very likely be some explanation to avoid equating Jesus with Jehovah in all but a subservient role as Jehovah's messenger.
I may ask the next time I encounter one of Jehovah's witnesses.
Please notice....CAIN IS NOT LISTED!!! The line of Cain, the tares, is given in his very own genealogy. Do you wonder why?
Just as I said, here is what one gets when one provides Scripture to back up their challenges of YeShallTread. She automatically asserts that they do not know what the verse means, and thus have misinterpreted it. Yet still, she engages in no interpretation herself. A lot of good that did.
