Was Adam created outside the garden?

I don't have my bible on hand but I was wondering if yall could shed some light on this? I've always assumed that Adam was created inside the garden of eden but I thought I remember reading something in Genesis that led me to think he was created outside in the untamed part of creation.

You are correct.

In Gen. 2:7 it says "the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground....

Then in v. 8 it says "And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

So man was formed first, then the garden planted to be his home.

Again in v. 15 it repeats: The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden....

Since God had to put him in the garden, he was not created in the garden.

WHat happened to the animals after Adam and Eve were banished from Eden?

Were the animals cast out along with them?
Were there already animals outside of Eden?
Were the animals outside of Eden the same as the animals in Eden, or were they different?
Were the animals free to come and go from the Garden of Eden to the rest of the world?

The bible makes no comment on any of these questions. So you can dream up any answer you like and no one can say you are wrong.

Did Adam eat physical food in the Garden?

If so, how did he digest it? (if there was no death in the garden)

If he digested food, how did his body handle the waste products?

Did the waste products simply pile up? (no composting possible)
