• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are warnings deleted from the list when they expire, or do they remain visible, but with the points not counting?

I'm half tempted to post something in violation to find out if that is the case. :D

My impression from the OP was that automated warnings should expire automatically and that pre-automated warnings would be hand deleted.

In theory, They are supposed to come off automatically. After the automated system was in place.
The ones prior to the automated system, Will need to be done manually and it is a long and tedious job for AA to do.

I would try to be patient about this, She has alot on her plate as does Erwin.
If she does forget, Just send her a reminder and ask that she look into it for you.

I just checked and my expired post-automation one is still there. That might be a bug, but since I don't plan on violating any rules, I'm not to worried about it until it becomes an issue Erwin needs to address.

As far as my manual era one goes, I PMed AA. She hasn't replied or fixed it yet. It's been about two weeks. Given how much work she has... I'll PM her again come November if it hasn't ben fixed by then.

Given how large this forum is, I'm happy to get a reply at all, much less a prompt one from senior staff... and I understand completely.

AA, I posted a question in the support forum, but, no moderators have answered yet.

Are SENs, RFEs, also deleted after a year?

I am interested in seeing an answer to this as well.

1. Warnings don't automatically disappear - they need to be manually deleted - but the new warning system which is to come will have this.

As someone who doesn't want to hassle mods (or even a Senator) about pre-automated warnings, what is the most appropriate repsonse?

- PM AA.
- Start or look for Warning threads.
or
- PM mods and work our way up through the modchain?
