i've been thinking about this conversation in depression recovery: i know some of you are aware i was in therepy. i just want to point this out....that my healling from SI became before therepy. i still have mental health issues. the therepy has really helped there. but i know that the therepy would have helped me fight SI and ED and depression.

The promises of God are all over the bible. He is never going to break His Word or take it back. You can have confidence that everything He promises you in His Word you can receive. All you have to do is ask. He promises you health and healing; the Holy Spirit, happiness, hope, eternal life, freedom, goodness, mercy, all good things are yours now through Jesus Christ. ​

Living Sacrifices .....

hey everyone! i just wanted to say that trying to learn about God and His will is pleasing. you are pleasing God by wanting, searching and fellowshipping in His will. YOU are pleasing God by excepting His gift of Jesus. re-newing your mind is learning and becoming new in your ways. you are excepted the same by Christ no matter how much or little you know. we are all different, and must work towards being pleasing and loving to eachother.... we belong to the other members of God's family. i will i could share all of God's words with you. there is so many lovely things to learn.

God is so good to us. i'm posting more scriptures because i keep getting asked "how does God talk to you?" ..... it made me realize that all of this concern and care means nothing without helping my friends and family see how the word of God is our sword and the door to hearing God in our spirits. i don't feel comfortable preaching at people. but i want to share the good news. i hope i get better at this. making people upset or hurting feelings, makes me feel terrible. do you think me posting stuff on one thread is much politer? there are some who pm me asking for scripture. i pray about my actions and the reception. i'll post this so the softer side of dee is seen.

1. “Having girded your loins with truth”

“Truth” = Candor, sincerity, truthfulness rooted in the
objective reality of the truth of God’s Word, but here refers to
the subjective practical application of openness and honesty
in all things with God and men.
Satan’s first attack on mankind was deception, which was
followed by man’s hiding, denial, and blame-shifting.

2. “Having put on the breastplate which is righteousness”

“Righteousness” = Uprightness, right living, integrity in
one’s lifestyle and character – conforming of our will with
God’s will. Although rooted in the object righteousness that
we already possess in our standing before God through the
work of Christ, this breastplate of righteousness (that guards
and protects our heart) is the practical application of the
truth to our lives – i.e. Lordship of Christ.
Satan’s attacks are not merely deception, but accusation
(resulting in guilt and condemnation) of the believer. When
we willfully turn away from what we know is God’s will, we
open ourselves to demonic attack.

3. “Having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace”

“Preparation” = Establishment – the means of a firm
foundation; also conveys the idea of readiness to share the
Gospel which brings peace between man and God.
Satan not only uses deception and condemnation to
neutralize believers, but also specializes in casting doubt
on the very basis of God’s goodness and the means by
which we have received it – the Gospel.

Prayer has a direct impact on spiritual warfare. Mark 9:29 ... !!!

i like the things you post. i dont understand them much but i like reading them anyway. i like that they are in 1 post so i can find them when i want and so that i can avoid them when im mad at God or cant deal with the frustration this stuff causes inside. i hope this made sense. really i just want to say thankyou for posting and helping us.

Stress is a natural response to some situations. Stress is manageable. Recognizing your own warning signs is realizing your limits. When you can identify your limits, then you know what therapy you need. Do you just need to slow down and relax? Do you need prayer? Do you need someone to talk to? Should you distract yourself until you can refocus? Do you need to try all of these? Make a list of unhealthy habits you need to avoid when feeling under stress. Remember that that naming your behavior patterns is the first step to taking control of your feelings. The next step is to practice coping in healthy ways. Then....................... Practice....................... Practice....................... Practice....... Focus each time on what you are doing right, the positives of your dealing and managing. Knowing about your patterns will help you to see these things clearly.




. Freedom from suffering requires ACCEPTANCE .

. Let yourself go completely with what is. Let go of fighting reality.

.ACCEPTANCE is a good way out of depression.

. Pain creates suffering only when you refuse to ACCEPT the pain. Deciding to tolerate the moment is ACCEPTANCE.

Replace Willfulness with Willingness’...

leigh sweet little angel talk to God. just because you are a child, doesn't mean God too big to understand. read your bible sweetheart and ask God to show you His love and comfort. people can let you down, but God will not. and even with someone to talk to, only God has the answers to fill you with purpose and joy.

i saw a baby today, she was round and bubbly, blond curls and big gray eyes. she had a few little teeth poking up, and was taking her chubby fingers and BLAH.. BLAH.. BLAHing her bottom lip. it was funny and cute. i felt a marvelous and perfect joy swell up in my mommy heart. what a "little angel" i said. God sees us this way. we bring Him joy. all joy is from Him in creation. and He desires joy for us all. so ofcourse He is the king of glory.
later, having a tough day, my hubby came up and massaged my shoulders and fed me some milk chocolate. i realized that my husband is made for me. he loves me, cares for me, finds pleasure in me. i realized that we all have a place and bring joy to one another... fellowship, joy, blessings. these scriptures came to my mind; and i remembered that adorable baby.
God sees us this way. we bring Him joy. all joy is from Him in creation. and He desires joy for us all. so ofcourse He is the king of glory.
so all the good God is. all the love He brought to us, and the price Christ paid for us. God created us, and calls us the first fruits of His creation... His children..... and He has made Himself everything to us... King, Father, God, Friend, Savior; all of these things give glory and joy.... why not seek His will?

I am amazed at the number of people I meet who deny their emotional responses to the situations they encounter. They with social labels: like it is weak for a person to cry, a flaw for a person to feel anger or to express disappointment, a lack of self-control for a person to laugh aloud. they also pent up emotions because they do not understand the release, just the uncomfort of not being taught that this is ok. people are missing out on the fullness of what it means to be alive. An expression of emotion is a part of what makes us human. Emotions are a gift of God, who created each of us with a capacity to feel and to express emotions. emotions are vital to our ability to communicate to others and exspress the inner sinsitivity or joy of our personalities. They are also a means of responding to God........
so to God, and people, and to life in general. For most of us exspessing deep feelings are uncharted territories. We are unsure of the language of emotions. neglect of nurturing or fears to explore areas of the inner life. Understand that God made you to have feelings. He has a desire for you to experience His presence with your emotions, to express yourself emotionally, and to have an emotional relationship with other people. your exspressions of emoitions helps make you emotionally whole!
