  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So why are you complaining about the USA?

Because the USA has invaded a sovereign country, has subsequently occupied it.

During said occupation has killed over 100,000 Iraqis hence orphaning vast numbers of Iraqi children, Sexually abusing iraqi men in Abu ghraib, enforced an election in which the Sunnis are boycotting and will result in the majority Shia population gaining power and forming an alliance with Iran...

Thats just for starters...

Ya gotta love these political discussions. Where there are almost no high emotions, everyone's minds are so easliy changed, everyone is just so polite to one another and it almost never sinks to comparisons to facists or nazis. ^_^
Notice how they also bring anti-american, folks out of the woodwork who have never posted here before?

You know a person is done debating when they attack somebody's integrety rather than their policy.

I never attacked her integrity. Merely her lack of knowledge on Geography. It may help you to read a post you're going to quote more carefully next time...

I'm not necessarily anti-Bush (considering the alternative was not possibly getting my vote) but I think Iraq was a huge mistake and I question the integrity of the administration given there were no WMDs. Regardless, the fact that this is just going to breed more American hating terrorists is the main thing that bugs me.

Here's one possible solution. Maybe we could just let the whole world vote in U.S. presidential elections. Possibly then we could quell any global dissatisfaction with American foreign policy and the American presidency. I mean, at least if the whole world had an actual voice at the American ballot box, it might balance this immense and unjust disparity of only Americans having an actual voice in American presidential elections. It all just seems so unfair the way it is, with only Americans allowed to vote in U.S. elections, while critics of the American President being relgated to the sidelines and limited to expressing their views only on venues like Internet boards, etc. It's all just so . . . unfair.

Again, if there is any better deal out there than the USA, by all means go and live there.

Sorry, Shel. Really, I am. But I'm not going to make it that easy.

This is my country. I not coward enough to cut and run.

I'm staying and I'm going to make this country better. I'm going to force it stand up to its own ideals, standards and history and make it the world leader in the export of freedom and prosperity.

Just because we got a guy whose mistaken the voices of Rumsfield and Chaney for the voice of God doesn't mean I'm going to leave, it just means I have to work harder.

Sorry if it makes your life miserable. Its not really my intention.

But I'm firmly rooted in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Which is now Atlanta but used to be Milwaukee and before that, Boston.
(Ok, its a little cerebeal, just think about it)

And you now all this is the only thing that is going on over there, there is no good at all, is there? All Americans are bad and murders and they can’t wait till they are 18 and can enlist so they hope for war time so they can leave their families here and go to a war zone just to kill innocent people.

And you know this because your media no doubt is informing you of the big bad mean nasty Americans. Right?
