Wanted

We despretly need a youth pastor at our corp.
Our youth has fallen apart in the past year.
We went from having a striving, good youth foundation to having 15 kids that dont ever have a clue whats going on & are one by one leaving the church or even the faith.
The leaders we have do the best they can but noone in our corp wants to vollenter.
Our kids club (like kids youth group) Had to stop. I dont want to see that happen with the youth.

I know noone can really drop everything to come & help but just pray that we can find one.
The youth that we have are amazing & we want to do so much & help so many people but we cant do anything with out an adult to help.

has anyone stepped up to the plate to help lead the youth, or stepped up to take control??
i have this feeling that something big is gunna happen with the youth maybe just victoria, but i think its a global thing gunna take off... so much is happening with the youth, alot turning to drugs alchohol ect, leaving school, all this stuff... i dont think they know how much they are worth, and alot certainly dont know how much they mean to God..

if i may just blame satan here for a moment, he may see what God has planned for all these young people, and he's doin his best to stop that from happenin... so lack of help/leadership in youth group and that, is one way of doin it and the other is wats currently happenin with the youth as mentioned above

couple of options could be:
1: chat with the corps officers, see wat they can do..

2: if the youth come to church see if someone can arrange for you all just to hang out after church (since you are already there), kick a footy, play cricket watch a movie in the hall.. anything.... i find most of the time you get greater results from a spontaneous event/game than a planned/structured event.. also games alow team skills to be learned and developed, and communication/friendships to develop... those that lack self esteem, if you have a great group, it will be a great time for them to get encouragement...

What you are experiencing happened in my homecorps. We are living in desperate times and for such a time as this (now) we are here... so I will pray (and am praying right now) for you guys.

Pray also for the young people here in Penzance, and all over Cornwall. We have one youth work team I believe, in Falmouth. But the need is acute all over Cornwall. Please Lord....

nothings happened yet
but we're still praying.
The corp officers are looking but not finding. People have said they're looking really hard & like making sure its the right person ect ect ect.
I'll bring that point up with the leaders just to do things randomly after the meeting. It would be good if we still had crush~a thing after the night meeting where we crash @ someones house usaly that have quite a bit of land & stuff a pool, games ect. & just hang out or go to a restront/take away shop & eat. It was good. but it was back when we had a thriving youth & youth leaders that didnt have 50 billion other comitments.
I'll keep you upto date with whats happening but theres nothing that I can see coming.

I'll pray for all your other youths too. Keep it up. We're building a great generation for Jesus
