Want a new subtopic for Dreams and Visions?

I sort of take a middle of the road approach and go to extremes either way. I don't think there is a "gift" for dreams. The spiritual gifts are in Romans 12, `1 Corinthians 12 and 14. A pastor recently stated that the Corinthian church, although they practiced the gifts, were very immature as believers. There were envy, strife and divisions in that church.

I agree.... but I also think that the solution to being immature is to grow up.
The solution to speaking as a child not to stop speaking...is to learn to speak as an adult.
The solution to prophesying in part is to mature and begin to prophesy in full.

And I know that in many cases the gifts of the spirit such as "word of wisdom" and "word of knowledge" manifest in dreams and visions. The dream and vision is just the medium of the manifestation.

Humblebee, I wouldn't worry about that--so many of us have watched threads and whole topic areas destroyed by arguments, we're just trying to prevent it happening with such a sensitive, personal subject. When I proposed this in the "suggest new topic" area, several people rose to defend you. People love your thread. You have poured out a lot of your time and energy into helping others this way.

It's fine with me that people are using this thread to vent a little, discern possible problems, even dispute the value of it--better here than on the thread where people are sharing personal information! Mixed feelings can be a good thing.
