IMO....the most plausible of all flood theories that I have encountered.
Bryan Nickel
Isn't that the fantasy in which the Fountains of the Great Deep erupt with such force as to tear chunks off the Earth to form the Asteroid Belt?

"Most plausible" isn't particular good in the context of completely untenable explanations for a global flood.

Sorry. Everybody is dead wrong on this one. I suggest a candid review of the material. This will take weeks. Obtain the book and online book.
In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood - The Hydroplate Theory: An Overview

BTW, there is no doubt that Ussher's chronology is faulty. Genealogies do no equal chronologies. The flood must have occurred before 7000 BC, or much earlier.
The 6000 year timescale is quite frankly ruining the viability of the Church. It is THE major stumbling block.
The Genesis Genealogies: Are They Complete?

The geologists and archaeologists theories are a joke. A very dangerous joke.

There are many more plausible explanations, like the Black Sea Deluge Theory.
No. A devastating terraforming event that wrecked the entire planet. For good. Until the Redemption that is. All of the major cataclysms occurred during the flood (Deccan and Siberian traps etc etc).

Does this include all the world's geologists? Because I would think they would have the most to say on the subject.

The geologists and archaeologists theories are a joke.

As opposed to people that attempt to shoehorn in a global flood in contradiction to all the geological evidence solely to satisfy a particular religious idea?

You're right, that makes much more sense.

Dead wrong. I urge you to study the matter in detail and find out the facts.
There is absolutely no way that the standard model is correct, trust me I know.

I have. Walt Brown's ideas have been thoroughly debunked. Just basic physics renders his ideas untenable.

trust me I know.

That would be a "no" on both accounts.

That would be the selfsame geologists and physicists who "believe" in the big bang etc. Which of course has been UTTERLY debunked. The Plasma Universe reality absolutely wrecks.....pretty well everything.

They have been studying the Sun for hundreds of years. And ALL of the Standard Model theories are utterly without merit, have been falsified, and are absurd given the observations. They know it, and you evidently do not. Tragic.

Nothing to do with the age of the universe or what science concludes about it.

It's always struck me as odd that people would set up their religious beliefs to be dependent on science being wrong.

Especially since in the history of science vs religion, I can't think of a single time when religion won.

Hardly. More like because of stated facts literally given from Heaven.

Like I said, I'm good. I have my own philosophies about the nature of existence and death that I have arrived at based on my own experiences.

Just like I wouldn't expect you to adopt my own beliefs about such things, don't expect me to adopt yours.

But a failure to understand the true nature of the Creation and Flood will cripple your preaching efforts.

As opposed to advocating debunked ideas about a global flood?

"No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man." John 3:13

The Creation happened in six days. And the Flood was global. Believe it. Christ confirmed all of the salient fact of Genesis to the disciples. The true disciples believe Him and these facts.
So in your opinion is belief in a literal six-day creation a requirement for salvation or not?
