Just you all watch, Bush will pull through just in time. He has strategery, ya know. He has always surprised me by his strategery, making the left fall on its face after it tried to give Bush a beating. He'll do it again, too...

Unless the terrorists bomb us again. They want Kerry to win.
I cant tell if this post is serious or not.

C'mon. Admit it. Bush got the terrorists and Clinton didn't. :D
9/11 didnt happen during clintons era. We wouldnt have been justified in declaring war on Afghanistan. He shot cruise missiles at suspected terrorist strongholds however, so he didnt just sit on his butt as you would like to imply.

Well, I must congratulate him on at least doing that. Not that it did much good...

"Huh, we got bombed? Ok, I'll send an investigation team..."

"I'm dropping in the polls? I better act tough or else Dole will win..."

He then tosses a cruise missile on over.

A link? An article?

You must remember, Germany was like this before things eventually calmed down over there, too.

Salt hurts before it heals.

There's really no way to measure or accurately tally the amount of 'terrorists' in Iraq, so I’m not sure if I can give you an article or a figure on that front. However, I do think that we can look at what’s happening over there and make a few accurate (if somewhat unscientific) observations.

In short, it's pretty obvious that most of the terrorists operating in Iraq are far right Muslim extremists, and I find it highly disturbing - because Saddam ran a relatively secular state. He did use religion whenever he could if he thought it would help him maintain or strengthen his grip on power, but on the whole - Islamic extremism was pretty subdued when you contrast Iraq with, say, Saudi Arabia where women aren't even allowed to drive cars. After the US invasion, we've had the clerics jostling for power, and to me - that screams' theocracy'. Most of the insurgents are openly attacking under the banner of Islam. The war on Iraq has angered a lot of Middle Eastern Muslims, who view the war on terror as a religious conflict - a clash between Christianity and Islam. I honestly don't see how attacking Iraq could lower the amount of terrorists about; all it's done is inspire Muslims to cut people's heads off in the name of Allah.

As for the reconstruction, I’m not yet convinced that Iraq is ready for a democracy. Most Iraqis don't trust the interim government - and when the US eventually leaves, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a cleric take over and set up yet another Islamic theocracy.

left leaning source:

right leaning source:

Thats right, Fox News even reported about the right-leaning International Institute for Strategic Studies findings that showed that since 2001, terrorist groups like Al Qaeda have increased in numbers dramatically.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again: Terrorism cannot be stopped solely by killing terrorists. Just like in the Vietnam war, a body count will not make a victory. :sigh:

Bush war on terror is going along as well as the war on drugs.
