Anyone know a truely free programme to convert VOB to MP4???

One that doesn't put water marks on the MP4 and doesn't demand my credit card details?

I have a very important video on Noah's ark that I want to post with a facebook link.

Are you sure you didn't mean MP4 instead of MP3?

you might have to install lame, to convert to mp3, but winff will do the job for you.

CloudConvert is one of them. It is the "swiss army knife" for file conversions. I think it's free for up to 25 conversions a day.

I have never done this but did you check into Handbrake? I think it is now open source I cannot attest to how it works.

So you want to go to mp4, not mp3, then i would try Openshot video editor. i really like using it. It has a few bugs but it has a long list of video formats it saves into. Plus you can add video or audio tracks and size them.

DVDFab Video Converter Pro is supposed to be free. Never tried it though lol ! Several programs will go to AVI if that helps any.

You will also need a program Handbrake (free) to convert the VOB file to MP4.
Try looking at youtube:
"how to extract audio from vob file"
The video from TNDAGC goes through the process.
