I used to like them when I was young but not anymore, they are boring and they are Mainstream trash, im tired of them, anybody else feel the same ?

What games are you playing at the moment? There is:
Strategy- ive always liked Dawn of War
FPS- Crysis has a reeeeaaaly good physics engine and superpowers. which differs from most FPS'.
RPG- Oblivion is my favourite game and it is so different to Morrowind that I think everyone should try it before they decide its a boring RPG
FPS/RPG- Fallout 3 came after Oblivion by the same company . It has weapons breaking down that you cant just slap a repair hammer on them anymore. You have to find another of the same weapon and use it up.
Puzzle- Portal has been a bit too hyped, but I found it pretty funny and very cool with the physics engine and magic portals and robots.(and cake, i just had to say it)

Perhaps you're just growing up and getting old. Perhaps you're realizing the world is a bad place and you're spending more time in it than in fantasy land and God is awakening you to spiritual concerns?

I wonder if video games could be put to use in teaching people gospel truth and spiritual stuff?

I'm not just talking Doom where you shoot demons or whatever. I mean games that teach theology and about God in some way. It's been done to a degree with fantasy novels like the Narnia books. Deus Ex was an interesting game - granted it was mostly a shoot em up. I wonder...

I am pretty sure that somewhere down the line someone will develope a game like you are talking about. Anymore it wouldn't be to hard to come up with a concept since most major games have FMVs and real time events. The only problem would be finding a publisher for such a game.
