8:02 mins video regarding NY Law that has passed, removing the terms mother and father from legal documents.Care to summarize the video?
That was Ray Comfort. Different guy. Ken Ham has always looked 80, for a long time.Wow, banana man has gotten old.
Life proceeds.Vernacular language isn’t precise enough for legal matters, oh noes!
It could be viewed as Democrats changing the words "mother" and "father" to "gestating parent" and "non-gestating parent" shows how radically liberal and strange the party has gotten.Vernacular language isn’t precise enough for legal matters, oh noes!
Another perspective is that Republicans harping about something that has absolutely zero bearing on them, costs them nothing, shows how enraptured they are by the culture wars and how eager they are to go looking for a fight. It could be viewed as Democrats changing the words "mother" and "father" to "gestating parent" and "non-gestating parent" shows how radically liberal and strange the party has gotten.
We’ll have to see if the governor signs it into law. She likes to call herself NY’s first mom governor.8:02 mins video regarding NY Law that has passed, removing the terms mother and father from legal documents.
Most likely a lot more parties than just Republicans are put off by it. If I were a diehard Democrat I'd be saying this kind of stuff is killing us.Another perspective is that Republicans harping about something that has absolutely zero bearing on them, costs them nothing, shows how enraptured they are by the culture wars and how eager they are to go looking for a fight.
What? All of a sudden pronouns matter? Most likely a lot more parties than just Republicans are put off by it. If I were a diehard Democrat I'd be saying this kind of stuff is killing us.
Mother and father are probably the most fundamental pronouns there are. "mama" and "dada" are pretty much the first words a person says. Then there's how bizarre "non-gestating parent" probably sounds to many. It's like something out of dystopian science fiction like Brave New World. And it's being put into law. Many people, not just Republicans, will say. And since pronouns are already a serious matter to many, something like this could be the preverbal straw that breaks the camel's back. What? All of a sudden pronouns matter?
Huh.
Here's a CBS news outlet link to the story: New York state Legislature passes bill removing gender-specific terms from custody lawsI’m gonna take the word of the guy who teaches that Noah’s ark sailed a global flood 4500 years ago…
So we can't point out that the terms sound like they came from a rejected SNL Coneheads skit?Another perspective is that Republicans harping about something that has absolutely zero bearing on them, costs them nothing, shows how enraptured they are by the culture wars and how eager they are to go looking for a fight.
If that’s as far as the outrage went, I wouldn’t be making this point. But it isn’t.So we can't point out that the terms sound like they came from a rejected SNL Coneheads skit?
