Video Messages Are Good For You!

So I made a video to put here. It's actually just audio and pictures as me as the video. But every time I try to save it it turns into a wmpl file, and I don't know how to turn it into a .wav or anything else for that matter. I've tried uploading it to youtube just as it is,but it won't work.

What software are you using?

I used Windows Live Movie Maker

Ah I suspect you are trying to save it as a project rather than a movie. Look for an option that says something along the lines of Save Movie File (which is the name in the old Windows Movie Maker).

You will need to specify what sort of movie you want it to be. Save it as the best possible quality. Youtube will compress it anyway.

No worries. It was you mentioning that it was wmpl that got me on the right track. I suspect it's short for Windows Media Project Live (to differentiate from .wmp).

Edit: Actually something that might be handy for people to know if they need to do some computer troubleshooting, doing a web search for a file extension is a good way to find out what sort of program uses it and if a particular file is a bit suspect.

You could always post an audio one (like mine) with a picture of a flower, or dog, or something. Doesn't have to be you. Just a thought if you ever get tempted to do one.
