By defenition, it isn't real nor do either of the series deal with real things. Its all made up. So what does it matter that the made up things aren't exactly like the other made up things?

This is why I think its so stupid that people have such an issue with sparkling vampires, they aren't even real, why does anyone care that Stephanie Meyer decided to create her own take on vampires? Its not like Blade and Underworld didn't do the same thing. /rant

I just like good writing. That and vampires that sparkle is such an obvious marketing tool to get women into reading it. Ohhh. Glitter!!!

Now that I think about it, I don't make eye contact with people much when I'm talking to them in daily life, when I'm listening, I do. I dunno. I find it easier to concentrate on what I'm saying when I'm not getting lost in someone's eyes or thinking about the symmetry of faces and features.

Depends on the person. You know me though... it's one of the reasons I hate that I draw. I'm always staring at faces with an imaginary ruler, plotting features, shapes. If someone is particularly attractive, sometimes I do too much staring, and not enough talking. So when my eyes wander, it's to keep my thoughts on track.
