CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I literally LOL'd (I hate that phrase, so that means I actually did laugh) at "It's like not putting ketchup on food, you just don't do it!"
I agree with that last part, Singles really has gotten worse in the just two years I have been here. I want to go back to the way it was, one of the reasons I'm avoiding stupid and pointless debates.

You know Saucy, I agree with a lot of what you say on these forums. I also felt like singles have a unique opportunity to serve. I even tried to organize some volunteer work with other single guys but nobody wanted to do it. So I understand where you are coming from and that frustration.
But don't hold people to it. Everyone is at different stages of spiritual growth. And this is an internet community so it would be much harder to organize something on here. But you know what? There are probably hundreds of people who lurk these forums. We may be inadvertently helping people or leading them to Christ by simply trying to post in a kind, respectful, and edifying way. Of course, we are still learning and come from all sorts of backgrounds but I'm sure most of us at least have good intentions to try and help each other when we post.
It's just kind of frustrating because I think sometimes people totally misunderstand me or don't even realize what they're saying. I suppose it's inevitable to have little quarrels here and there (especially on the internet) but I hate to see animosity and drama (especially amongst Christians). So yeah, above all, let's not forget the love of Christ which trumps everything.

Yeah I really feel God trying to lead me to unite Christians, beyond denominational lines to help others. And to do ministry online and help the homeless. I also work with the kids and teens. A lot of people spend a good amount of their time online and they're struggling. I have plans in place for creating a blog-type website with a group of volunteers who help minister to others online and growing the "Impact Flint!" into a non-profit with a bunch of volunteers from different churches. I have a heart for the hurting and the needy because that's where God has taken me.
Maybe He has taken you different places and has different plans for you. I'm certain He has. We all don't have the same plans. But if it's my goal/plan to try and unite us, but I definitely won't hold people or force them to do anything.
