I guess the only thing I would worry about Jim, is if the beast represents some sort of economic system, something that isnt a being or entity. Like worshiping a super computer lol idk. But I'm pretty sure it will be a being, demon, entity, or even angel. I just don't think the government should being allowing any mark or implant that connects to human flesh. I guess I would go directly to jail and not collect $200 for passing Go. :)

I have no problem with Christians who would refuse to get chipped. You gotta do what the Spirit leads you to do. But then, I don't think it will be mandatory, at least not in our lifetimes. There are too many Americans who don't like it, from the ACLU to the John Birch Society. And if the Beast is a human world ruler closely controlled by Satan, it wouldn't be needed for tracking and control purposes. There are legions of demons who can keep track of the Christians.

...be chipped only if you won't mind anyone knowing where you are at any time.

Do you think that all the demons will be unable to keep track of the Christians? Seems to me that Satan hasn't needed technology to do so for the last several thousand years. I wonder if Screwtape and Wormwood are celebrating, now that they have better technology at their disposal!!

I read about the VeriChip. It could be a real possibility considering what happens to the lithium battery when it leaks into human tissue. Which, btw is exactly what one of the bowl plagues do to humans who have this mark causing great and painful sores. Not a good thing.

I won't be taking any chip and time soon.

I looked at several sites, and none of them mentioned the implantable Verichip as having a lithium battery-or, indeed, any sort of battery. Why do you mention a lithium battery?

Geeze, Louise Jim...I dunno...you drive me crazy! I was reading one of the websites, I am sure from your POV it was "unofficial" but it was about the VeriChip and the subsequent researcher who invented it. You should know by now, I am terrible at "details" mister...I am a big picture person. :p

I thought it said battery, but it did mention lithium because of the subsequent sores it makes on human tissue as a result of a malfunction (battery?) within the chip. I do remember the researcher was told (by whom I don't remember) what the Bible predicted which the researcher was unaware of this and deeply regretted his invention.

To make you happy (Nick, are researching this?) I will try and find the article again. I make no gurantees. I am gonna stop telling you anything, and keep it to myself. :sigh:

Okay, Jim...I found it. I am sure you think it is "unoffiical" but so then are a million other websites. I am beginning to think that just because a website is "official" doesn't necessarily mean you get the whole story and you just receive the party line.

Here it is (www.evenmore.co.uk) and the link you need to go after you get on the website is mark of the beast you see it at the top of the page.

I am sure you will discredit this site too. Fine, I don't care.

I don't think you can get too much more official than the Verichip company's website, which says this about batteries:

Tag
RFID tags vary in shape and size and are either active or passive. Active RFID tags like VeriChip's Infant or Asset Tag are powered by an internal battery and are commonly read/write, which allows the tag's data to be modified or rewritten. The memory size of an active tag varies depending on the application requirements. Passive RFID tags like our patented implantable microchip, on the other hand, are not powered by a battery, but instead rely on power generated by the reader.

Thank you for the link. I'm sorry you don't see the need to support your statements. Somehow, I just can't imagine Paul saying, "Geez, Louise, you Bereans drive me crazy! Why can't you just believe what I tell you, and quit checking up on me! I'm an Apostle, for crying out loud!!" :p

I'm not trying to discredit the idea that the chip is powered by a lithium battery. I merely said that the 3 or 4 stories I looked at didn't mention it. I was just looking for information. I will endeavour to correct this flaw in my personality.

You're partially correct, in that I would tend to discount the link you sort of gave (it didn't say anything, but did lead to another page that did). Ironically, that page linked another, presumably neutral, source, that you could have linked, which would have dealt with the whole issue. This is the story, here:

http://www.emergingworlds.com/mc_article.cfm?link=Chip_implants_in_humans_begin_today.htm

I'm assuming that the L.A. Times has a greater interest in accuracy and neutrality than the "Prophecy in the News" site.

Ah, there seems to be some confusion. Apparently, the implantable, grain-of-rice sized chips have no battery. It's the other ones, the size of a quarter, that have GPS capability, and are not approved by the FDA, that have a lithium battery.

At least, this is how I read it, and I demand that none of you check this out, but simply belive what I tell you!!

(Yes, I think I'm cute.)

Hey Julie,

No, I'm not researching this topic at the moment. Maybe someday, but not right now.

And just to let you know, don't think Jim is hounding you. Jim usually addresses the Verichip issue whenever anyone brings it up on the forum, so it's nothing personal.

And remember, the "big picture" is always made up of a lot of little details...and if some of the details are wrong then the big picture may be too. Just a thought.

In Christ,

Acts6:5

Uh, "Judge Jim" in case you haven't noticed--I am NOT writing a legal brief for God's sake! This is not a life-saving decision your making and my case neither rises or falls on your blessing. **rolling eyes**

Yes---I know I am correct. :)

So you take the leftist bomb-throwing LA Times over me, a fellow believer, when I tell you something? I am hurt.

So what are you gonna do?

Cyber flowers would be a good start...

Well...um...kinda. But only in the matter of implantable demonic spychips! On any other subject, I promise, I will take your word over the LA Times!

Nick is right, as he usually is, on all matters other than basic End Times Theology. Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, OhhJim gotta respond to Verichip posts. Or, as the song says, "You can't deal me the aces, and expect I wouldn't play".

Jim,

Way too much fun on a Friday...so when are we going out? It is such a shame you live in that crazy left coast state. The midwest is much saner and greener. I'm not movin'.

I am sorry I have to leave the action. I have to get ready to see Herb Peters tomorrow, remember him?
