Genesis Chapter 3:15
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel."
Who is the woman that God is referring to when He says that He will put enmity between Satan and the woman? It can't be Eve, because she sinned, there can be no enmity between Satan and Eve.
Peace,
Nancy
Actually there is only one exception,
Heb 4:15
(15) For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Rom 3:23
(23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Bump
1Ti 2:5
(5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
I have many times on this thread something doesn't mean what I believe it does, but with no explanation of what it means. Care to enlighten me on what a Co-redeemer is?
That isn't logical proof. Sorry.
I don't know what to say. Read the verse. All have sinned, except God of course.I asked for a specific quote of St. Mary sinning. Please provide.
I didn't interperet anything. I just posted a verse that said Jesus is our only mediator.Ever prayed for someone? That's mediation and intercession.
Look up the words.
Your interpretation is therefore inaccurate.
Because you are the one that says I have it wrong without bothering to explain what you mean.Why don't you go to OBOB and ask them?!
A scripture that says He was without sin is not "logical proof"? If you don't believe the bible then there is nothing I can say to convince you.

No, Him and His Mother.
Where does it specifically say she ever sinned?
Where does it say that she did not? Futhermore, why did Mary know that she needed a savior if she hadn't sin?

Nowhere, just as it no where says that she did.
Holy Tradition however teaches that she never did. Since Scripture is silent, I'll trust the Fathers in Apostolic Succession.
Because your understanding of why we need a Savior, like your understanding of the Incarnation, is incorrect.
And that is what happens when tradition superceeds scripture. Pity.
In the apostolic view of Christianity, that sentence does not even make sense. Scripture is Tradition.And that is what happens when tradition superceeds scripture. Pity.

Apostolic Christianity doesn't believe Tradition superceeds Scripture. We believe as has always been believed: that Scripture is a form of Tradition.
I will only defend that which applies to Orthodoxy and Catholicism.Scripture never changes. It is always the same, God is always the same. Many of the discussions here are centered around things that have been added to tradition as time has gone by, even though it it not congruent with scripture.

I don't think they had electricity in 320AD did they?how the heck can you call votive candles a doctrine of Rome? and why the heck would you have a problem with candles?
Impossible to be Eve since she had that fallen nature thing going on. If there is to be complete enmity between the woman and the serpent, then She never should have been in any way subject to him even briefly. This implies one without sin. It was a prophetic foreshadowing of the Virgin Mary.No it was Eve. Read it. God was talking to Eve. Also, if anyone has sinned then there can be no enmity between them and Satan? Every member of the Body of Christ is at enmity with Satan, and besides Mary was not sin free.
One Significant Difference Between Orthodoxy and Catholicism:
Immaculate Conception. Roman Catholics say "yay"; Orthodox say "nay; kinda".
Orthodox say that yes, the Theotokos was able to sin, yet did not; she lived a sinless life.
Although what is interesting to note, is that Evangelicals say that you can come to logical conclusions from the Bible. Immaculate Conception is a logical conclusion (I still don't agree with it; just pointing out a hypocrisy).
