Any German beer is very unlikely to have rennet used in hte brewing process. The Reinheitsgetbot would have prohibited it and including something like rennet would be suicide in the German market to this day.

I actually was not able to find any evidence that rennet is used in either wine or beer. I'm sure the one winemaker I know does not use it and my guess is the French wine production laws prohibit using rennet.

See the link. The concern a vegitarian or vegan would have with beer or wine is fining agents. Egg white, not rennet. Rennet only links to beer or wine because the same sites often care about beer/wine and cheese.

There is no way there is enough of a fining agent left in beer or wine to be significant in a consumption sense. If that is the concern it is unfounded. If the concern is because it is used in the process then it seems a legitimate concern.

Blood in French Wines

It also seems going Organic would be a bad choice, those explicitly exclude chemical fining agents so would be more apt to use animal products (unles explicitly vegitarian). It could even work out that cheap wines are less apt to be a vegirarian issue, some surely will not be fined, others will use chemical agents.

I avoid eating meat products at all cost though I don't have a problem with eggs in fact we have our own chickens. rennet is stuff out of an animals insides the gut I think.

I would prefer to not consume it. Its more for the animals sake not mine. The thought that something needs to die so I can have a glass of wine really isn't appealing at all.
I read the link you gave and was thinking about fining the wine eggs are cool to do that if thats ok.

lol maybe cask wine is the answer there's nothing fine about that its usually fairly rough. :p
