In the beginning, there is no death. So the original diet is vegetarianism.
After the flood, God allowed meat into the diet to reduce the life span of sin of mankind. Man's life span rapidly reduced from almost a thousands to a few dozen years.
Genesis 9
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, ...
Daniel and 3 Hebrews were prepared of vegetarian diet to stand a great crisis.
The health message is given to those who are preparing to stand the final crisis.
In the new heaven and the new earth, death and decay will be no more. So those love the flesh meat and corrupt wine will have to change their habit to prepare to enter into to new earth.
skipping ahead slightly, do you go to hell if you eat meat or drink wine? sounds so since you say you must change your habit to prepare to enter the new earth.

The original diet for man didn't contain meat for two possible reasons. One could have been for health reasons because animal products cause many health issues and the other reason could be because in the garden there was no death and in order to eat meat you would have to kill. Killing was not part of God's original plan for His creation but even though killing now for food is permissible God has made a distinction between clean and unclean. When God told Noah to bring the animals into the ark the clean were to be taken in by sevens but the unlean by twos. If Noah ate even one unclean animal that breed would be extinct from Noah's time on.
Do you think Adam and Eve lost it because they ate something they shouldn't eat?
Would the 3 young Hebrews have been able to stand tall against the image of Babylon had they compromised on the diet first?
It's obedience issue. The bible doesn't say you shouldn't take cocaine.

Psst. Plants Die when you eat them.
[SIZE=-1] 2 One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him.Romans 14

Here's a well thought out answer!
When was the last time a fruit bearing tree died when you plucked its fruit? Have you ever grown herbs? You don't kill them by thinning their 'fruit'. Same goes for nut bearing trees...
I know you are trying to be cute, but your answers are not well thought out.
Most things that man eats were once living.Ah so it's like unfertilized eggs, milk, cheese ect.
Problem is the plants you eat DO die.
The Fruit you eat can't grow, the cells die, the plant cells die, death results from eating. Spin it however you wish, by saying the Whole Plant doesn't die, but the cells still do, the parts you eat still do. What you're eating dies.
I was a vegan for 5 years and vegetarian for 10. My boyfriend pointed out to me that it was not good for me to be a food snob and think I was "too good" to eat meat. I did sort of feel like that.
So I recently started eating some meat again. I started with fish and just this week actually ate some chicken and turkey.
I feel good. I choose to eat a mostly vegetarian diet for a few reasons, but I am glad to be shook of the restrictions I had placed on myself that were not commanded of me from God.
If someone offers me an items with meat or dairy in it I will not longer have to be rude and decline and act like I am too good for it.![]()
