So I am in charge of planning VBS for the preschool through 5th grade this year. I've attended many in my youth, but never lead one. I am thinking of the theme "Fun in the Son" and it will be for a few hours a day for three days. The fourth day is like an open house for everyone someone else is planning. Many are involved with the teens, but I am unsure what to expect with the kids. We have a church of around 120 people. I've never planned a VBS and this is super exciting! August will be right around the corner though.
One thing I am planning is like a prayer walk where we are looking for things along the way, because the park is pretty close to our church. I'd like to focus on stories of Jesus and miracles He did on earth, and His great love for these kids. Craft, songs, snacks. A lot to do!!!! I pray God touches these kid's lives.
Anyway, creative crafts, games, snacks, good kid songs, any suggestions are welcome. I got some good ideas, but am still looking.
