  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, it seems that there are far more widely available, and cheaper drugs that are showing promise. Predictably, they are being downplayed: https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/florida-keys/article245313450.html

It helps perpetuate the narrative that America's darkest days are ahead of us, as Joe Basement said.

There's a drug used for rheumatoid arthritis that is helpful too...
It stops the cytokine storm and acts almost like a Antiviral.

But why not the vaccine??? Aren't the ones who would need it most the same ones who are actually sick with the virus?

I don't so much disagree with you, in fact I don't disagree with you as much as know that those who do are not swayed by the logic, the facts or the science of the matter. Resistance is primarily driven by fear of the unknown. When available I will take the vaccine if my doctor recommends it. I only say that as covid, been there done that and by the grace of God survived with minor symptoms. My infectious disease doctor recommends that everyone be vaccinated except those who have been infected and recovered as that is still under study but even with that she would err on the side of being vaccinated but waiting for three to six months, maybe longer as more information is known. They know there is immunity for almost anyone who infected and recovered for at least three months, think that is more like six and even more, perhaps many, many years but that can only be demonstrated as more time passes. By the time the vaccine is available for everyone who wants it, I should know more and will do whatever is the recommendation from this doctor who treated me successfully within the providence of God.

The COVID-19 vaccine is not the mark of the beast.

Vaccines are proven to be effective.

I have 100% faith that God can prevent me or anyone else from getting the virus without a vaccine, but not everyone does. I'd rather not see my loved ones die, so I will take the vaccine and be a good example to them.

Most, if not all, anti-vaxxers are in good health today because they were vaccinated against polio, measles, etc. as children.
