Does anyone have any experiences with the USO, that could tell me whether they are a good group to support? Most of the stuff they do -- cybercanteens, care packages, etc. -- seem good, but they also do entertainment tours with groups like the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. I can't imagine they're going to do more than just encourage lust, which I obviously don't want to support. What are your opinions?

The USO is awsome. They support lots of morale events and encouragement for troops. They also have places for military personnel to rest and eat at about every airport in the states. I send my thanks out to all USO volunteers. Great job keep it up!

Hon, it's not even starting to be about lust. I think you can ask any troop in a remote location to confirm that. It's about a little piece of home that they can cling to. It's about remembering who they are serving and why they are there. It's about a smile and a song at times when they feel so far away from everything they know and love.

The USO is a great organization.
They bring entertainment to all parts of the world.

Just little shows to give the people in out of the way bases something to look forward too. The shows are tasteful and might have some burlesque(raunchy-comedy)
But for the most part they are just good entertainment for troops that have it rough.

I was stationed in a SMALL base in Araxos Greece. The shows were great.
It is a great cause. Bob Hope led this for so long and now Wayne Newton is the
leader. I went to his show in Greece.
