I was wondering if anyone knew if you could use a keyboard and mouse with a PS3 instead of a controller.

If I recall correctly, they have a Bluetooth Keyboard / Mose for the PS3

yea Im using a logitech usb keyboard to type this message on my ps3 browser. But I don't know if it would work for games. if it did im sure it would be crap compared to a controller.

Just about any mouse and keyboard from the past decade will work, whether it's USB, PS/2 (with a USB adapter) or bluetooth.
Some games support them and some don't. It depends on whether the company that made a specific game put in that feature or not. Obviously some FPS and strategy games would play a lot better with a kb/mouse than with a standard controller.
