So now it's okay to break the law and refuse YECs hire?

This reminds me of the dystopian comedy Incompetence by Rob Grant in which it is illegal to fire someone for being incompetent. Note the words "dystopian" and "comedy". Hiring incompetent people turns out not to be a great strategy.

All I want to know is, who puts YEC on a resume?

How do you know he is "incompetent," until you hire him?

Would you hire a person with a degree on veterinary medicine as a medical doctor to treat people? What if it was a really competent vet?

I've said this many times before, and it bears repeating here:

Name one button or one lever a YEC can't push or pull on the job, that an evolutionist can.

The same way you would know not to hire a doctor who practiced medicine in the style of the 1400s. You'll have to ask Kevin to get a proper answer, but I got the impression that his company had had experience with YEC geologists.

Petroleum geology is not about pushing buttons. It's about the origin, occurrence, movement, accumulation, and exploration of petroleum, and you simply cannot understand that (or predict where to find petroleum), if you think the earth was created 6,000 years ago (with or without petroleum in it).

Whether he did or not, I'll say this much:

If he refuses to hire people because they are Young Earth Creationists, or Young Earth Geologists, then he had better get ready for a legal battle.

And for the record, I would like to see what is on an application that would alert a law breaker to immediately throw it away.

No, last time I checked, young earth creationism is not a religion. If he refuses to hire people because they are Christians, then he is in for a battle. You keep forgetting that only a small proportion of Christians believe in a young earth, either that or you don't think they are real Christians.

And for the record, I would like to see what is on an application that would alert a law breaker to immediately throw it away.

A degree in young earth geology from the institute of creation research.

I'm still at a loss as to what would prevent a YEC from doing his job.

Boss: Go get me that 15,000-year old ice core sample down in the basement.
YEC: I can't. I don't know what they look like.
Boss: They look like a 5000 year sample, only three times longer.
YEC: No such a thing.
Evolutionist: I'll get it.

You got it. But just in case you didn't, predicting where petroleum is to be found (which is the job of the petroleum geologist) involves more than just fetching ice core samples.

Nothing is preventing them from doing their job just as long as they are willing to throw away YEC and use geology that works. Understanding how source rocks are produced, and cap rock, can only be explained by standard geology and not YEC.

Ya ... like pushing buttons or pulling levers ... right?

Show me one thing an evolutionist can do pertaining to his job requirement, that a YEC cannot.

And for the record, what would you do if an evolutionist at your place got saved and became a YEC?

Fire him?

If he didn't mention his conversion, would you notice a decline in his workmanship over time?

Wrong.

A petroleum geologist will know where to look, someone with a degree from ICR won't.

And for the record, what would you do if an evolutionist at your place got saved and became a YEC?

Fire him?

If he stopped doing his duties, yes, I would fire him.

If he didn't mention his conversion, would you notice a decline in his workmanship over time?

You've became so fixated with being persecuted that you are completely misunderstanding the entire subject. From the very beginning a specific reason for not hiring someone was given:

I know the oil company I work for does not interview young earth geologists. That is because they can't find oil.

You completely ignored that and started your defense of something that wasn't even happening. Let me make this very clear for you: It is not what you are, it is what you speak and what you do.

What job? They don't even get an initial interview.

If they have a degree in young earth geology they won't get an interview. If however, someone is a young earth creationist but happens to have a valid degree in petroleum geology and their religious convictions don't interfere with their duties, they just might get that job.
