usefulness of rock collecting

well after 6 kids & 15 years worth of family expeditions to collect rocks tumbled smooth by a dried up river bed, we are finally able to complete the 'stone room' addition of our house, made entirely out of...you guessed it!

For those of you who don't like your kids bringing home rocks cuz of the mess, the weight, the ugliness, all I can say is a free resource is a free resource. Make their hobby their nightmare by ordering them to come up with 15 or 20 pounds a week, & after 15 years you too can have a beautiful room entirely constructed out of stone, a safe haven in case of earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, etc!

& the acoustics can't be beat!!

lol, this is too funny! I used to have a neighbor who paints animals on rocks...she's actually quite good at it!

what kindsa animals? Does she like paint an eye on one, another eye on another, etc then toothpaste them all together?
