Congratulations first of all!

Secondly, I would just tell him - there's no point beating around the bush with these things - he's going to notice. ;)

Psa 127:3-5 says:

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Take God at His word! Remind your husband that children are a BLESSING and given by God! If people all decided not to have a child due to financial, age or career issues, I wouldn't be here today! ;)

As per DH wishes I was trying hard to avoid a 7th child. Life is so full of uncertainties--DH age & health concerns, career changes and needing to move to larger home/new area? I am thrilled and distraught simultaneously. How do I share this blessing with him?

why is it your sole responsibility to avoid pregnancy? if he doesn't want to have any more children then he should help you in prevention. he sure doesn't have any qualms about helping you concieve does he? just tell him. he's not your daddy he's your husband and is just as responsible. if he doesn't want any more children then tell him to get cut, use a condom, or keep his pants on. family planning is not your responsibilty alone. he is the other half of this equation.

just say to him "looky here, dude. it takes two to tango and so guess what?" :D

It's a wonder in this day and age that women still think they have soul responsibility to practice birth control. It's like we're living in the 1950s, where if a woman got pregnant, it was her fault.

And you said, "as per DH's wishes". Did you discuss it, or did he just tell you that didn't want any more children?

If he didn't want any more children, why didn't he do something about that?

I think children are a blessing and God will work everything out so one more child won't be a big burden.

If DH doesn't want anymore, he can fix it so it can't happen again.
