We will be spending the day upgrading the blog system on our forum. In that time the blogs may not be accessible or you may run into issues using the blogging system. We will make a new announcement when the upgrade is complete and ask for feedback on any issues or questions that you see.

I'm curious why I have one of those red number things suddenly showing me there are "x" number of new blogs entries when I've never wanted to know about blogs before. Any way to turn that off?
The only way you might be able to turn that off is through your user preferences.

I forgot to post here that the blogs seem to be working OK, however, if anybody has any problems, please let us know.

We are having the developer look into the blog issues today.
Some of the issues had to do with the permissions, which I corrected to the point that the blogs are no longer moderated, as they first were.

Hello- There doesn't seem to be any way to make comments on the 'front page' blogs, even though I see that comments have been made?
I call them the 'front page' blogs to differentiate them from the 'hobbies, interests and entertainments' blogs. I'm curious as to the reason for having two places to blog.
Thanks for keeping the boat afloat,

Ok can now read the comments to 'front page' blogs and see that there is now a box and button for me to make a comment. Good, good.
In navigating around the site this afternoon have had to re-login several times. Not too bothered by that but thought you'd like to know.

When you uncheck the box in preferences
_Display unread blog entries count above navigation tab_
and then save changes ,
the preference remains the same as if you made no change
so that the unread blog entries still show the count above the nav tab.

I don't think anything can be done about that, except to ignore it.
