Thank-you Victor C for the help. That helped a lot but now I can not recline back in my chair but will have to sit up and pay attention haha.

Sophie 7, The problem was on all pages so I took Victors suggestion and lowered the screen display size however it is a little harder on my eyes to read.
Thank -you both

I usually make the text display bigger while I'm reading by hitting "Ctrl" and "+" together. I think that works only in Firefox, though. If you're using Internet Explorer, you can go to the "View" drop-down menu and then "Text Size" and select a larger size.

What I know is that you have a 19" monitor, but you didn't mention if it is a CRT or a LCD. If it is a LCD (with an analog input), auto-set the focus and that should restore the sharpness. Also set your verticle scan rate to 60Hz before you do this - scanning at 75Hz using an analog input will make your images fuzzy. LCD's at their native resolution are very sharp; I have three 15" and two 19" all running native on analog, and they are very sharp. You were good to avoid the 17" LCD, which has smaller pixels (15" and 19" are the same size pixelation).

60Hz scan is best for DVI input, but the monitor will focus with no intervention from you, as long as you're using its native resolution of 1280x1024.

If you want to make it easier to read without glasses while sitting back in your chair, try running your monitor at 1024x768, and hope the monitor will interpolate pixels when you auto-focus. Keep the font sizes to 'standard' in Windows and 'medium' in IE or Mozilla Firefox - as I mentioned earlier, this resolution on my 15" LCD's looked okay.

If none of these work out, I guess you can shop for one of those gigantic Fresnel lens you can prop up between you and your monitor

I just want to say that I think the upgrade has been great. The dark theme is decent to use and the dolly system not only added features (larger background, positionable elements), but was streamlined so that each scene created is a single, low kb image that taxes the system much less.

Return to standard VB code is a good plan. It seems Lee kept the biggest thing the folks liked but made it better.

Now personally I don't much care for the dollies. But I DO like a smoothly running board. Good work Lee and team.

One little request if any mod wants to put in a good word--allow avatars to be the same 250x250 size as the dolly backgrounds, to allow the creative types to have an opportunity to shine!

I like the new format, too, and I'm glad they added the option of a darker skin. Just in case anyone was unaware of it, Erwin's numerous modifications to the vBulletin coding were causing a lot of instability, so the tech people have been going back to standard coding wherever possible. The system seems to run a lot more smoothly now.
