  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I stumbled across this ICR article today that gives some good insight of what is currently going on with the very important discovery that took place in 2005 that makes it very hard for evolutionists to say that dinosaurs where not on the earth the same time as humans.

The 65mya extinction of dinosaurs is a paleontological scenario, not an evolutionary scenario. Dinosaurs could be alive today and it really wouldn't pose any problem to evolution, although there'd be the niggling problem of where their fossils have been hiding for the last 65 million years, which would further justify the evolutionary defense that the fossil record is sketchy because of how fossilization works and not because missing links never existed.

But I'm not here to press the point (I'll bring it to the open forums if it's challenged), but to commend the article ... this is the first time I've seen a creationist article I actually liked and could trust. There is a balanced consideration of the data available, an admission that neither creationism nor evolutionism can claim to have predicted soft tissue, and no knee-jerk attempts at linking evolution with questionable philosophy. Criswell claims that evolution has a problem but never goes so far as to say that it's a death knell for Darwin. Kudos. This is exactly the kind of scholarship which will make creationist calls to "teach the controversy" believable and authentic.

It is so true that if we found a dinosaur in the jungles of Africa most evolutonists wouldn't have a problem. We find "living fossils" and that doesn't change their views. There are animals that show no signs of being around for millions of years that are all of a sudden living today! Many of us will see the problem here but evolutionists can be so blinded to the truth that no evidence will ever win them over.

Let's discuss this in the open forum, then. :)

I would maybe discuss it in some kind of instant messenger but I try to steer clear of the evolutionist posting forums here. Evolutionists can read my posts in here or visit my website. I want to spend my time witnessing to people that are willing to listen to what I have to say and are not just out to argue like probably 90% of the evolutionists in those forums.

If you're wondering, I meant Origins Theology, not C & E. Well, it's your call. But don't say I the evolutionist wasn't willing to discuss the evidence ... ;)

I knew where you were talking about. I will discuss it with you but only on my terms which would be instant messenger. :p That way I don't spend so much time reading your posts and many others and trying to reply them all. In the past that sucked up all my time. When I talk to evolutionists on IM I find that the conversations progress much faster and both side seem to act more respectable to each other.
