Update on smoking

Well, I have made it through my first day of not smoking and I've had a few moments, but for the most part it has been easier than any other time I've tried. I think partly because I have allowed myself no other option, this is it, no going back. I think mostly it is from all your prayers and advice. Thank you so much. They say the first day is the hardest, and I have it behind me! Keep praying for me please. Love you all, Christi

Thanks, I survived yesterday too. For some reason, I woke up this morning DREAMING of smoking! I had a terrible craving, but it passed. (My husband smokes, so it kinda makes it double hard, but I can't keep using him as an excuse.) I have always heard that after 3 days, the nicotine is out of your system, and all you have left to deal with is the habit. I think the physically dependancy was the part that was always so hard for me to break, so maybe after today is done, thinks will be easier. I know I have only made it this far because of all of your prayers. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone!!!! Still smoke-free! Haven't had too many cravings, but the one's I have had have been killers! I just PRAY HARD!!!! I keep telling myself, "No one's ever died from quitting smoking, Christi!" I'll pray for you, too, Brian!

I wish. That's why I have been on here all morning. Hard morning. I will do this, but I have been smoking since I was 15, except for the times when I was pregnant.....so, I am having one of those "what do non-smokers DO...????" days. Pray, please. And pray I won't be so whiney, too?

Just think about it this way. You won't stink like cigs. You won't get wrinkles on that pretty face before your supposed to. You will be healthier. You can do it!! I will keep praying.

Aww, thanks. I have an idea!!! I will go back to bed! You can't want to smoke while you are sleeping, right? I'm pathetic, huh? They should have Smoking Rehab for people like me. Woe is me, if anyone is praying for me to be less whiney, it hasn't worked, so far. Whine, whine, and more whine. Complain, gripe, fuss, whine. Lord, forgive me, for I am being a baby.
