So now he is calling Bishops delusional oxygen thieves. He digs himself deeper and deeper by his own words.
Fulton Sheen he aint. I think if I want to see a priest who was on TV and has solid writings I will just stick with Archbishop Sheen.
Which bishop is he is referring to?
It seems specific to me. - "They scoffed at the idea of either".From my understanding the Church leadership in general.

Is that a recent statement?
Seems true in some instances, doesn't it?
It was posted on June 30th on his "The Black Sheep Dog" blog.

The problem I'm having with Corapi is that he wants all of us to put our "combat boots" on and "fight the good fight". Then, when it's his turn--he runs. And now, not only does he run, he points blame at everyone else for his reactions to this problem.
Thanks for the reference. I think that is a more recent statement than the last one I read. I'll have to go look.

Corapi is causing division in the body. He is attacking the same church he swore to defend. He is leading the vulnerable to align with him against the church.Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.16You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles?17In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.20Thus you will know them by their fruits.
If anyone, Corapi himself is leading everyone into confusion and detraction.
From his blog:
In twenty years of preaching and teaching in the Catholic Church I ran into many who should know better that did not believe that wolves existed and that there was no need for sheepdogs. They scoffed at the idea of either. They are not leaders, they are delusional oxygen thieves—taking up the space and breathing the air that a real leader should occupy fill.
Who's criticizing who here?
Corapi's on a roller coaster right now. It's not fair to people who used to follow him. First he's saying love the church--now, leaders are "delusional oxygen thieves".
I'm disappointed that he couldn't just let due process work itself out.
SOLT has contemporaneously with the issuance of this press release directed Fr. John Corapi, under obedience, to return home to the Society’s regional office and take up residence there. It has also ordered him, again under obedience, to dismiss the lawsuit he has filed against his accuser.
SOLT’s prior direction to Fr. John Corapi not to engage in any preaching or teaching, the celebration of the sacraments or other public ministry continues. Catholics should understand that SOLT does not consider Fr. John Corapi as fit for ministry.
I think at this point, more important than praying for justice for Fr Corapi is to pray for his eternal soul.
I agree. I liked your bible quote too, for some reason it wouldn't show up in the quote.I have no problem with going against the hierarchy in obvious situations, i.e. The abuse scandals. But Corapi is deliberately attempting to circumvent due process. I would rather see a Priest inconvenienced than see a member of the flock destroyed.
404 error on the article. Guess it got taken down.
The same article was reposted here before it disappeared from the Deacons bench:
