Bishop Gracida, the bishop emeritus of Corpus Christi, said in his post that:
This coming from the man who established the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity as a diocesan institute.
Interesting. Very interesting.
He is acknowledging that he is a sinner. That is a mark of humility.
He also wants to protect the flock. That shows dedication.
My prayers for him.

Qui tam False Claims Act lawsuit
Corapi filed a qui tam False Claims Act lawsuit against Redding Medical Center cardiologist Chae Hyun Moon after Dr. Moon informed Corapi in 2002 that he was in immediate need of triple bypass surgery, but then told Corapi the procedure could wait three weeks. Corapi decided to seek other medical advice, and it was found he had perfectly clear arteries. Corapi ultimately went to the FBI and filed the suit that was the basis of an FBI raid, and multi-year investigation into Dr. Moon's practice.[13]
The United States Department of Justice reached a settlement with four cardiologists and Tenet Healthcare Corporation, the owner of Redding Hospital during 2005, in part due to Corapi's initial complaint. Three physicians, Dr. Fidel Realyvasquez, Dr. Kent Brusett, and Dr. Ricardo Javier Moreno-Cabral, settled for a total of $24 million; Realyvasquez and Moon, the target of Corapi's lawsuit, paid $1.4 million; and agreed to never perform cardiology procedures or surgeries on Medicare, Medi-Cal or Tricare patients.[14] Moon's medical license was eventually revoked in 2007 for gross negligence, among other charges. Realyvasquez is still practicing in California.[15]
Corapi was awarded $2,712,281 (USD) for his role as a whistleblower in the False Claims Act Lawsuit as well as the $500,000 USD he and his friend were awarded for the insurance case they filed.[16] His involvement as a whistle-blower in the federal investigation of the practices in the Redding Medical Center played an important role in Stephen Klaidman's non-fiction book Coronary.
The doctor was a liar and a crook.
Liars need to beware of Fr. Corapi. He will bring the justice.
This is an interesting article.

Praise the Lord.
I am so glad that Father Corapi blew the whistle on this scam by wealthy cardiologist who were willing to put people under the knife and perhaps kill them by so doing.
God bless Father Corapi.
Shaking your head? Is that supposed to be ridicule?Shaking my head. . . . . .
We are to forgive those who do wrong to us, turn the other cheek .. .
Shaking your head? Is that supposed to be ridicule?
We are not called to be victimized by fruads and not report the crime. By doing so we permit the criminal to victimize more people. We can still forgive and do the right thing.
1807 Justice is the moral virtue that consists in the constant and firm will to give their due to God and neighbor. Justice toward God is called the "virtue of religion." Justice toward men disposes one to respect the rights of each and to establish in human relationships the harmony that promotes equity with regard to persons and to the common good. The just man, often mentioned in the Sacred Scriptures, is distinguished by habitual right thinking and the uprightness of his conduct toward his neighbor. "You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor." "Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven."

good going corapi- hope you sell a lot of books
cute how he just happens to mention his book during his sob resignation letter
His book may be a potential source for personal revenue generation on his part. It may or may not be negative. If he is suspended, perhaps his priestly income is curbed or otherwise severely restricted; if such is the case, perhaps additional supplementary income is needed? I do not know . . . ? It is viewing things in more positive perspective; rather than from that of a negative one.
look, before these allegations of sex and drug abuse came about
this guy was making 3 grand a pop plus expenses just for saying mass and public speaking- which is supposed to be his job in the first place
that does not even include whatever he was getting from marketing and whatever ewtn was paying it
now this guy owns a ranch in montana- i dont know what his diocese was paying him, but it did not sound like he was doing much in his own diocese
maybe the bishop decided to put the brakes on all this- i think if corapi was in my diocese, flying all over the country and doing marketing enterprises; even as a lay person i would be extremely annoyed
if he was part of a religious order, which he is, then the money would go to them.
Did the saints behave in this way to address wrongs?

Yes some saints were very just. St. Peter would have chopped up roman soldiers with a sword, a sword that Jesus told him to bring to the grotto, had Jesus himself not stopped him after striking an ear.
St. John the Baptist and St Paul both defended themselves to the death.
St Paul before many courts before his demise.
If you recall, it was the evil of a woman that was the down fall of John the Baptist as well. Women are capable of vindictive calumny, I've seen such pathology first hand.
That potential injustice hasn't been ruled out any yet. I grant you, Fr. Corapi is no St Pio with the submission but that doesn't mean he isn't being guided toward justice with wisdom from God, especially if he is innocent.
The Bishop may be his superior but isn't infallible and this accusation is being treated under the zero tolerance policy when it doesn't fit that criteria.
And that's EXACTLY what he's done! HE HAS GOSSIPED about his case in the public venue, he has GOSSIPED about the Bishops and their "intentions" - He has accused THE BISHOPS Joab, and to the public, claiming their actions AND MAL INTENT have forced him to resign from his duties as priest. He is the one going to the public to air his complaints and have the Bishops tried by public opinion. No one else, This is HIS decision and HIS action.Look, he didn't accuse himself so he may not have created anything, unless he turns out to be guilty of what he denies, so such spin is premature to say the least.
Only gossips cause drama.
So something is very wrong with this picture.
