Unusual major/minor combos

Every now and then, we college students are bound to hear of others who have very strange combinations of major and minor. Or perhaps, you yourself have a major and minor combination that do not seem like a logical pairing.

So, why don't we hear some stories. What is the oddest combination of a major and minor that you have persoanlly heard of someone else having? Or, if you consider yourself to have a very odd pairing in that regard, what is your major and minor?

This thread is not an attempt to ridicule anyone.

OK well, this isn't an unusual major/minor combination, but I do have an unusual path I'll be taking at university.

I'm going to be getting a BA in Theology, and a graduate diploma (the equivalent of a degree in reality) in management

I'm majoring in Pre-med/biological sciences and I'm minoring in music!


Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum....you should see all the funny looks I get!

Music is something that I've always loved...I couldn't give it up....but it is not where God is leading me!

And minor in Philosophy and Aerospace.

I majored in Psychology and minored in Women's Studies... rather an odd combination. It got me some strange looks from time to time.

I'm now working with TruthMedia, an Internet evangelism ministry! So it can be possible to combine two disparate majors/degrees!

Mine is probably an uncommon combination, but they're not really unassociated. (Religious Studies/History)

I know someone who is majoring in Communications and minoring in religious studies...

I know a girl who is doing a major in Geography, and a minor in Psychology. I have no idea what she could possibly do with that combo.

I'm majoring in History and in the fall I plan to switch my minor to Human Development (or maybe stick with Urban Studies which isn't odd at all).

I'm a computer science and philosophy double major.

Every single time I tell someone my majors they have to make some remark about it being a strange combination. It's annoying.

My major is Psychology and my minor is Graphic Design. I am taking Graphic Design off though because I want to keep it as a hobby rather than something I need to take classes for.

Mine wasn't odd but I'll share it anyway. My major was Sociology and my minor was Criminology. I'd do a Master's Degree but I don't want to write another huge paper and having been in school (Kindergarten through graduating college) since 1989, I needed a break.
