Sleepless night
Insanity creeping in
The voices sound so real
Screaming in your head
Growing Louder
Each passing moment
Is another one you spend
Fighting for your life.
The addiction attacks
Every part of you aches
Just one more hit
It won't hurt
Determination wanes
Nothing is worth this much pain
It would be so easy
To cave in, surrender to the desire.
Just as you are about ot fall
Another voice is heard
Kind and caring
Like an old Friend.
Encouraging you to carry on.
Just think of your life
The goals and friends
that have been placed on the side.
Is one more high

That's really good, hard to come up with a title that captures it well.

Maybe something that plays with the different voices or just the rescuing one.

lol, now I'm reminding myself of the song "Sound the Bugle" by Brian Adams
Then from on high - somewhere in the distance
There's a voice that calls - remember who your are
If you lose yourself - your courage soon will follow
