Brandy sat, bored out of her mind, as the minutes seemed to tick by as seconds. She desperately wanted something to do, or someone to talk with, but she didn't know anyone who'd wlaked by, and it would be ridiculous to talk to a stranger.
"Excuse me, ma'am?" a waitor suddenly asked.
"Yes?" she said, looking up at him. He looked familiar, but she couldn't tell where from.
"May I get you anything?"
Brandy, who knew she shouldn't have another drink, grinned and nodded.
"Yes, I'll have a large martini with a wedge of lemon." she said, emphasizing the word 'big'.
The waitor nodded and returned a moment later with her drink. As she slowly sipped the drink, she had to mentally scold herself for breaking her rule. She promised herself to never have more than one drink a day, and now she'd had to large martini's. Still, it at least gave her something to do.
