God certainly draws, and then He sets before us a choice: Choose life, or choose death.

It is all through Scripture. God doesn't change that ordinance. It starts with Adam and Eve making choices about their destiny, and again we see in
Deuteronomy 30:19
Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

In Luke 8:11-15, Jesus explains the parable of The Sower:
“This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is God’s word. 12 The seeds that fell on the footpath represent those who hear the message, only to have the devil come and take it away from their hearts and prevent them from believing and being saved. 13 The seeds on the rocky soil represent those who hear the message and receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they believe for a while, then they fall away when they face temptation. 14 The seeds that fell among the thorns represent those who hear the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they never grow into maturity. 15 And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.

God makes sure that all men receive the Good News of Jesus Christ and makes the offer of salvation, but there are many factors that cause a man to abandon the call. It is the well-tilled soil of the heart (God does the preparation) that receives the seed of the word and acts on it in obedience. Obedience is key.

What do you have that you did not receive, But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it
1 Corinthians 4 7

Because Jesus was lifted up from the earth, He will draw (Greek: drag) all men to Himself (John 12:32).

As you can see from John 12.32, the Doctrine of Free Will is prooved False....

Yea it is a broken record. As we can SEE from THIS parable, Jesus is stating emphatically that it is TO THOSE who HEAR GOD'S WORD. Thus, these people are CALLED.

Actually it doesn't disprove free will. He will draw all to Him, but not all has or will come. That proves free will more than disproves it.

Apart from Pauls wonderfull Gospel of Grace....somthing a lot of people may have never considered.

When God accomplishes his plan for man....what then ?

Its a big Universe out there that he has created, and the Bible only covers Gods plan for Man.

Who knows what else he has created out there....and because all of us will be with him...God...and because we have Son ship....and because we will be like God, though not God....it does leave one in awe of what he has planned next....for which part of this enormouse Universe he has created....because we will be a part of that......

What wonders will we see...and be a part of..... I find that incedibly exciting....

So if someone is a Christian, he can't disobey God since he has no free will? We are just robots?

No where in the Bible is man referred too as a robot....we are even lower than that.

The Potter has right over the Clay.... we do have Free will...to believe the word of God or not...to be nasty or nice...to speak truth or false hood.

Our Creator knows us inside out...he knows the way to each and every one of us, one of the reasons all will give Glory to God one day is because God knows the way to each individual that has ever lived and will ever live...every knee will bow and every tounge will swear allegiance to him not only of their own Free Will, but rejoicing when doing so..

The worst of enemies jump for joy and Love each other in his presence....they just cannot help themselves....Gods Love is over whelming in that regard.

Peace

When someone becomes a Christian, that person is God's deeply loved child. God sees that person as holy and righteous because of Jesus' sacrifice. That person is extremely important to God. I feel no need to say I'm lower than a robot. I am a child of God. :cool:

Everyone is offered the seed. We are to hear and respond. Turning from sin and abandoning it IS A CHOICE.

All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, but He does according to His will in the Host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth; and no one can ward off His hand or say to Him, "What hast Thou done" (Daniel 4:35).

We have no choice but to choose God in the end....... It is the Lord who will accomplish what concerns us...

Misinterpretation of the word of God is a bad habit.

But David was talking about himself and he was already a follower of God.

Hello shepgirl....I am not here to challange what anybody believes....everybody has a different level of understanding.

I believe Jesus when he said that if he be lifted up from the Earth he will draw all men unto himself....why should I be surprised that he was a descendant of the Royal house of David.

Is it any wonder God described David as a man after his own heart.

I have heard there where times when David used to give Glory to God all day long while sitting on the throne in the throne room.

Such recognition of the Sovereign power and will of God, to announce that the Lord will accomplish what concerns us! (plurality)

The time has not yet come for all to recognise the Soveriegn Power and Will of God.....that is the only reason there is any disagreement here in this thread.

The Lord will accomplish what concerns us (Psalms 138:8).
No misinterpretation...just the word of God speaking plainly...

Yes, God will accomplish all He promises. To punish the evildoer and to reward His children. The "us" in that passage is important to identify.

David is writing about God's people...not outsiders. In fact, David was referring to himself. Here is the verse in more context:

Psalm 138:7-8
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

I know your probably tired of me saying this, but Jesus said not all will enter His kingdom. He is the One that would know and the One I will believe.
