Looks good...I'd watch it if the events of Sept. 11 still didn't leave me with emotional chills. But I wonder who will play the pilot who shot down the plane?

Well, fwiw, I've heard from some fairly reliable sources that part of the proceeds from this movie are going to the families of those killed on the flight. I also heard that family members had been consulted during, or prior to, the making of the movie, though I haven't yet found out exactly for what they were consulted.charvel said:I have my doubts about wanting to see this. I refuse to watch it, even if the proceeds go to the families. I think it is done in bad taste, and there are other ways to raise money other than recreating a horrible event on film. But I guess that what we Americans do best.
Say that to the relatives of those that want them to be remembered.charvel said:I have my doubts about wanting to see this. I may but for tonight I'd say my girlfriend and I wouldn't get anything but sorrow out of it again. It just seems endless. It happened,it's over.

Lithium Hobo said:I don't know, something about the idea of a movie based on the events of 9/11 leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I can't put my figure on it, but it just doesn't seem like it'll ever be the right time or it just isn't appropiate or what, but I don't like the idea of it. Maybe it's because I think that a movie cliche in a movie with such a powerful backdrop would make it inappropiate, or that there is no need to really bring up old wounds in this manner.
I'm not saying we should forget about 9/11, but we shouldn't make a movie about it.
