  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Crap like this didn't happen at my uni, as far as I'm aware, but then again I did go to a tin pot uni. You wouldn't catch me doing something I didn't want to be 'accepted', I suppose my football team did have some heavy nights but no one was forced or pressured into doing anything. Anyone got any stories? Should they be discouraged or actively banned?

It is a little bit ironic, that some of these people feel the need to do this stuff because they don't want to be labelled a 'wuss' as the person in the article put it.

Here's my advice to any young students who get put in this predicament:

Most students are wimps, especially the older ones who think they can bark orders at you. They're just on a power trip. If one of these nerds tries to order you to down beer or eat sandwiches filled with faeces, you get in his face and tell him to &^% off! If that fails, then just bottle the prick. Smash his face in so badly that he won't be reading a text book for 3 months. These dweebs need to be destroyed, and it wont happen till people stand up to them. Thank me later.
