  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ever since I heard about the unforgivable sin I've been troubled with thoughts of blasphemy. I'm so scared this has lasted for quite a long time now. I used to cry and pray but nothing. I've asked God to kill me because I don't know how I'd survive without him, and he said in the scripture he would never forgive, that's very scary. Because of this, i've become depressed. Ive reached out to 3 girls in church and told them about it, they said I haven't yet commited the sin but these thoughts are still there. Ive tried not to pay attention to it infact, i cant pray anymore, can't even go to church anymore becos of it. In the scripture somewhere it says no matter how righteous a person is God would never forgive if they've blasphemed against the HS nor prayers (I've seen it in the bible but not sure of the exact passage). Sometimes, I have hope like hey I'm still alive other times, I want to just end it all. I've also thought about committing suicide instead of living a life filled with sorrows and no hope. Someone pls help in anyway u can. I know I'm not holy nor righteous and I sin every time but I'm just so scared. Is there someone who could talk to God on my behalf I would like some assurance pls. Thanks.
Hi; read John 14.1-27. :)

I have studied the Bible almost daily for the last 45+ years or so, and pastored a church for 16 years. I say that just to say I have some experience in commenting on the Bible. Not only does Matthew 12:22-32 speak of an "unpardonable sin" but so does Hebrews 6:4-6. Good news is that because of the elements involved in those two situations, no one can commit either of these two sins today. There is nothing that God can't forgive if one confesses it as sin to God, and repents from doing it. Otherwise God won't forgive it, just as He won't forgive sinners that receive not Jesus as the Savior from their sins. Of course Satan would not want people to know this. Don't let unclear passages upset you when clear passages can comfort you. Father, I pray that this one will find the peace that You want them to have. Acts 17:11, Amen.

I agree, this would cause the issue of being saved and then unsaved and back and forth. Yes this is something the devil wants people to be confused in. The only kind of "unforgivable sin" I believe exists is the kind of life that has heard the word of sanctification and never truly come to believe in Christ, but has continued to go on deliberately sinning unto death. It's simple. Reject Christ and be eternally separated from God, or accept Him and be born again and share in the Heavenly reward. And that heavenly reward will never be taken away. Neither will eternal separation from God and unforgiveness be taken away if we willfully reject the word of sanctification - namely the Christ, and Him crucified. We CAN be forgiven of ALL things past, present, and future IF we come to KNOW CHRIST. THAT MEANS PERSONALLY!

The unforgivable sin is blasphemy in the manner to say that God is not real , or the Holy Spirit is not real , or that Jesus is not of God , Denying Jesus can forgive sins and things of that nature

If you have repented and asked Jesus to forgive you and accepted he died and rose from the grave so that you may have eternal life and you have accepted Jesus gift of salvation and confessed out loud with your mouth/voice that Jesus has risen from from grave and IS God - the Great I AM you are saved , now all you have to do is convince yourself , if needed say it out loud all day everyday until you have accepted it - you are experiencing the enemy attack on you to convince you that you cannot be forgiven - say out loud for the devil to flee in Jesus Mighty Name , Believe in your heart mind and soul , God has given you the power to overcome - proclaim it In Jesus Holy Name

The unpardonable sin isnt a person cursing the Holy Spirit.

Many people hear blasphemous thoughts against the Holy Spirit even to the point where they get sick.
Still, with MASSIVE amounts of prayer, fasting, and getting hands laid on you by Holy Spirit filled people they do go away. (2 cor 10:5)
