I'm confused by this. I'm in a relationship with a man who believes in and loves God, but he's not a Christian. He's more of an OT believer. 2 Corinthians 6:14kjv says, "Be ye not Unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" I am striving to live the Christian life and I want to serve Him, but I don't want my boyfriend left behind. I want him to know Jesus and His redemptive power to transform us and heal us from all iniquities, but I don't want to grieve the Holy Spirit either. I would love to read what y'all (I'm Texan) have to say about this.

Amos 3.3 says:

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

We can certainly pray for people, while not being able to walk together.

I pray everyday to be one world under God. How are we Christians going to reach lost souls?

I'm in a relationship with a man who believes in and loves God, but he's not a Christian.

PS: If two ppl have some similar interests - e.g., such as music, rock concerts, walking and hiking, or even smoking marijuana, etc. - it's easy to see how friendships arise and deepen.

For the believer, the joy of sharing the Word - Old and New Testaments, centred on Christ Himself - is so vital that it should be at the heart of friendships.

The first thing that comes to mind sister is that the whole theme of the Bible is Christ Jesus... So I really wouldn't say your that unequally yoked. Anyway, 1Pet 3:1, declares wives who have unbelieving husbands, are more apt to convert them by their lifestyle than by putting tracts in their sandwich (so to say). It's the lifestyle, the way we live becomes the witness of what we declare. And God's word tells us that in doing so, husbands may be won over by the conduct of their wives.
Hey, we just plant and water... God brings the increase (1Cor 3:6). Let us not forget though, that verse 8 says each one will receive their reward according to their labor. Maybe like y'all being one in Christ.
Keeping you both in prayer.

John MacArthur writes a solid article about this (http://www.gty.org/resources/questions/QA196/unequally-yoked)

I have also listened to a great speaker (John Neufeld) speak about this. John also counsels Christian couples.
John Neufeld in particular talks about how it is common for females think that they can "change their man" so that they become Christians and it almost always fails.

Basically, in all cases, based on scripture, these scholars agree that it is not in God's plan to be partnered with an unbeliever or non-Christian. It will hurt your Christian walk and is not part of God's plan for you.

It is unclear what is the status of your relationship. If you are not married, then this verse comes to mind:

Colossians 2:20 -21. Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21“Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”

Run from sin.
If you are married, pray. You are joined as one under God.
If you are not married, leave.

BUT, talk to your pastor/elders at your church about this, they'll give solid advice.

He won't be.

That raises questions.

Not going to happen.

John MacArthur writes a solid article
He denied some necessary things to live a true life in Christ - someone else referred a page about him promoting him,
but turned out he didn't pass the test of Scripture - some things he said were not only contrary to Scripture, and opposed Jesus Life Today,
but made it incompatible with those who follow Jesus Today. (the true gospel)

BUT, talk to your pastor/elders at your church about this, they'll give solid advice.
Hopeful,
but if that were so,
or if the assembly was what it is supposed to be, ... well....
most threads are because the assembly is NOT what it is supposed to be in Christ Jesus according to Scripture.
