CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I like Manson. Great music, great symbolism in his lyrics. He does not worship Satan, and alot of times when he says "god" he's not talking about the God, he's talking about some of the things that people are so obsessed with to the point of worship, such as TV and money.
That's a good site you sent, morningstar2651, it's really interesting how much different people can interpret songs..because I always had much different interpretations for alot of them than the guy who runs the website does, but he's probably more correct, considering how he has alot of actual quotes from Manson about the meanings.
Oh and as regards to Britney Spears:

Marilyn Monroe wasn't perfectly good -- she was promiscuous.
Charles Manson wasn't perfectly evil -- he was an intelligent, although eccentric man.
Nobody is perfect.
Revenge for all those that walked on him as a child. Revered for his musical genius.
Satan is hate? Is that in the Bible? I do know one thing, you sure hate Manson...does that make your action "Satanic"?

Should there be a discussion about how great Satan is? Because that's basically what this thread is. I think it's sad that we live in a day and age where a Christian website is forced by basically heathen people to allow the glorification of Satan yet Christians are prohibited from discussing the immorality of homosexuality because it might "offend" someone. I say there should be NO non Christians on this site but what do I know. It's obvious that we self righteous ones aren't getting anywhere with any non believers so why bother even allowing them here?

Actually, this thread was created for people to learn about music, not whine about how "evil looking" Manson is or how he is the devil incarnate.

If the topic is Marilyn Manson, then ALL opinions should be welcome including ones by those of us that feel if you want to portray yourself as evil don't be surprised when people call you evil. Saying Manson is evil looking is still discussing the topic.

Where did that come from? I don't hate anybody, not even MM.
As for debatable issues, the support of MM's music is best left to non Christian websites. And no, it's not easy to discuss the homosexuality issue on these sites without "treading carefully"
Technically I agree with alot of what MM says, it's just his lifestyle and the way he says/shows it that bothers me. I
I'll stick with Jim Wallis.
